Would you trade for Paxton Lynch?

Reminder: Dak and Romo were 3rd string back ups at one time.

In their rookie seasons. Dak was a 3rd stringer for 15 minutes. Romo was a 3rd stringer because he actually showed promise and he wasn't drafted. If he was bad he would've been cut.

Lynch was a 3rd stringer because they traded a 1st and 3rd for him and he couldn't beat out Osweiller or Simien.

There's no comparison.

He's a 4th round draft pick that needs time to figure it out, no doubt but it's still too early to be giving up on the guy. I'd give him next season to figure it out or we move on to someone else.
Of course you have to give him time. Im not saying cut Dak at all but I think they need to get the right QB coach in here to work with Dak. Its possible he could be the franchise QB but what might prevent that would be the coaching. This coaching staff struggles with coaching up players maybe they need more talent at the position. Kinda like Romos gunslinger ways were a good compliment to Garretts inability to adjust. To me I hope Dak works out but Im also kinda tired of the smaller QBs around 6'1. I would love to see Dallas get a typical 6-5 big arm pocket passer like Philip Rivers. OR Wentz was there had Jerry just moved up to secure him. Jason had coached him and should of known his potential. But thats water over the dam!

There's no prototypical size lol. You have big quarterbacks who suck and you have small quarterbacks that are good. What's the point of having a big arm quarterback if you don't even go deep?

Yeah I don't even want guys here who Jerry wanted and failed. I don't want them anywhere around here.

If nothing else, I think about two things:

How bad must Lynch be in Denver if that team - starving for quarterback help - is already moving on from him, after investing a first round pick? How bad is he that they're already thinking about pulling the plug?

Secondly, how would it look for Prescott and the Cowboys if they brought him in? What does that say about Dak? What does it say about this team? How could any of it look good to anyone?

This is Madden stuff.

Right on all the above. No one is wondering why the qb starved Broncos are giving up on a young qb?

meh, just draft a project, that's all Lynch has been to this point. Look at the QB mess in Denver and they're gonna let this cat go for a 6'th ot 7'th round pick? Elway is an idiot. Built the team through FA and we know that doesn't last

Im not sure that Dak is the man but your comments about LInehan and Garrett being fired after the Atlanta game need to be revised. They should of been tied to a post and whipped then fired. I was so angry after that game and I hate Garrett with a passion because that was the biggest game of the season and everyone knew it and Garrett and linehan just layed an egg. Pretty much did the same thing 2 more weeks and everyone said their missing Zeke. They did ok rushing the ball it was about the passing game and protecting Dak and finding ways to get players open. Falcons, Chargers, Eagles arent any more talented than Dallas is but they are better coached and those 3 teams made Dallas look like a high school team. And every one of those games could of been worse score wise. Those teams took their foot off the Cowboys throat while in scoring range to let the clock run out.

Spot on.

Say Broncos were willing to move him for 5th or 6th rounder. We know Jerry went after him pretty hard during the draft. Maybe the kid just needs a different scheme.......

for a 5th or 6th rounder?
Sure

Not much downside risk there at all...but he does carry a 1st round rookie salary.
Would be better if they cut him
