Would you trade for Paxton Lynch?

How many games has Paxton played in? Successfully? Hearlded coming out of college doesn't mean squat. You should know this.

Not even close to an assumption.

It is an assumption because just as Paxton hasn't proven anything at the NFL level, neither has Rush. Any way a fan chooses on which of the two is better would be an assumption.

Paxton Lynch spends more time playing video games than focusing on football. And when he does play he stinks up the joint and says he played well. He will be out of the league soon.

AC, r u saying it would be a good idea or a waste of a 6 round for competition for back up. I like competition for back up roles, I believe that's how you make you depth better.

I liked Rush in what limited play we saw of him but not sold on him as our back up just yet. Not sure Lynch is any better than Rush, but it could be good competition for them.

Lynch played in 5 games in the NFL with a combined passer rating of 76.7....Rush has only played in 5 preseason games....saying either is better than the other is 100% speculation. there is simply not enough data.

That's just dumb. You people that are done with Dak are ridiculous. You let your hate for Dak make you say the stupidest stuff. You are so desperate to justify your hate for Dak, you'll just say anything. Dak is the Cowboys starting QB folks. I get that you don't like it but he isn't in danger of losing that job... and Rush is firmly the #2 QB

Glad you said it. It’s like the twilight zone here.... everyone is completely convinced that we have the worst QB in the league.
It’s just dumb

again, you are simply making an assumption with very little data; saying "i got eyes bro, they don't lie" is about as subjective and non-factual as you can get debating the merit of either.

Perfect example of how being a great/HOF player doesn't translate into being a great GM/coach etc... I trust nothing the Broncos say or do in regard to QBs.

I don't see how it can hurt to let Rush and Lynch battle it out for 2nd fiddle. (for a 6th round price that may or may not have any affect on the team anyway). If Rush wins out, you feel a little bit better about your back up, if not you get a new back up. Either way, the point is to improve your 53. We have some great 1st stringers, it's the back ups (2nd and 3rd stringers that everyone is always clamoring about). Of course, if your stance is you are set on Rush as your backup and you would rather use that 6th round pick elsewhere, I can understand that.

i still don't like using a 6th rounder on the guy ahead of the draft...now if we get to the 6th round in the draft and he has better value than what we see at that point im all for it.

I think its moot those as I don't see Denver sending him away for a 6th...you have to have a dance partner to dance.

Fair enough, and this is all hypothetical as I don't see them letting him go either. With their qb situation, if they are willing to let him go then that says a lot, doesn't it

rush needs to be fairly competing with dak for the starting position. I wouldn't give up much for lynch.

actually, i think both of them bring fairly different skill sets to the table that will require two different scheme setups...Dak doesn't seem to have the downfield accuracy that we saw, in limited action, from Rush in the preseason but that could be developed...and rush doesn't have the mobility that Dak has shown....

will be very interesting to see how it plays out, hopefully they both end up making huge strides this offseason.

I'm saying trade Denver a 6th rounder and get him in here. I'm all about competition. We gifted Chaz Green a back-up job. We gotta stop doing that and get the bottom half of the roster more competitive.

Would not give up a pick for him, no. If we add a QB, it should be someone with starts in the league who already knows how to play. Save the developmental QB spot for Rush unless we find an upgrade somewhere this season.
