This is such a backwards argument. Perhaps Jerry saw the two situations differently?

"'Roger will be extended, and Jerry will be dealt with,' said one of those people familiar with the owners’ sentiments."
More leak/agenda type reporting.
The ESPN article was the only legit report that I've seen. All other are just unnamed source headline type trash.
If the Cowboys and Patriots leave, everybody but the Giants and Falcons would go with them. Can NFL teams leave the league? Imagine if Jerry and a bunch of other owners took their teams and started their own league. What teams would leave w him? Maybe, the skins and pats? Who else? It's a pipe dream, I know, but it's fun to imagine.
Everyone other than homers sees Jerry will lose. Just like everything he knew Zeke would serve his suspension.
You have no idea what is really going on behind the scenes. Some owner are on Jerry's side and some are against him. There is no way to know how many on each side. That's my deal.
Jerry is about to be in the same place as Elliott. You fight the big bad dog you generally come out on the losing end.
Now with Elliott I totally get it. It's your name on the line there young man so you should fight that. I have no issue with that.
With Jones....there's very little to gain and it could, and probably will, become very ugly in the process. Jerry isn't going to be the NFL. He's just not. This isn't the days when Al Davis could fight the league and win.
Jerry is playing a game that he's going to wind up losing at very badly and it's going to be bad for the Cowboys as well.
He needs at least 9 to stop Goodell with a 75% voteYou have no idea what is really going on behind the scenes. Some owner are on Jerry's side and some are against him. There is no way to know how many on each side.
So what if the league decides the punishment for Jones behavior is taking the number one draft pick for 2018 right after confirming Goodell as the fifty million dollar man?
I think it would get uglier. Like Jerry filing a lawsuit and things dragging through the courts. Just an ugly situation.
Jerry helped with some of the recent relocations. I'm sure those owners are on his side. Little Danny is with Jerry. He needs at least 9 to stop Goodell with a 75% vote
He made a lot of money for those guys in CIN, JAX, CLE, GB etc
Anyone can do Goodell's job
Yep but man it sucks to watch it unfold. The guys going with Jerry are going to get in line, leaving Jerry all by himself as the sole dissenter. If he keeps up the fight, we could be in court for years and might lose a pick or worse.Everyone other than homers sees Jerry will lose. Just like everything he knew Zeke would serve his suspension.
And it is in Dallas this yearSo what if the league decides the punishment for Jones behavior is taking the number one draft pick for 2018 right after confirming Goodell as the fifty million dollar man?
And the Cowboys have had other players suspended before and Jerry never fought it. This is different. Goodell lied to him and Jerry feels that Zeke is innocent. This is such a backwards argument. Perhaps Jerry saw the two situations differently?
In any event, Jerry's not on the warpath over the suspension. He's on the warpath because he thinks they lied and manipulated him and then gave the suspension anyway.
That may be enough to turn the tide against the NFL. Cowboys and Pats fans have already had enough of it.A 1st round pick and 1 million Papa Johns pizzas............ book it
