Not if first contact is at 2 yards.

If first contact is at 3.5 yards like the Niners, it will work just fine.

I think that's one reason we want the Smith-Beebe-Martin interior. If they can drive back lines, then a plodding, up-the-middle running game can work. If not, then it will be ugly.
