Two years ago we were only getting about 50% Cooper. WR this year HAS improved by a wide margin over last year, with Cooks, an improved Gallup, and an emerging Tolbert.
Cooper wasn’t being targeted enough 2 years ago. He had almost 1200 yards in Cleveland with 9 TDs last season despite an unstable QB situation. None of our receivers caught 9 TDs last season. We haven’t even started training camp and you already have Jalen Tolbert as emerging. Lol You’re claiming Michael Gallup has improved without seeing him play a game. You’re making judgments on how improved our WR core is in June. Lol

I'm optimistic about Gallup. Hopefully he can return to his old form. He was a solid player before his injury. This is a big year for him!
He was definitely solid before his injury, which is why we re-signed him. We’ll find out in camp and when the games start if he can bounce back.

Jimmy Smith was the only one you mentioned that was a late bloomer and that was due to injuries. You’re the one who needs to take a chill pill. Every time I give an opinion you have a problem with it…relax! Not everyone gets all pumped up about every player like you do.

Not a single punt or kickoff return for a TD either during the regular season or playoffs.

Yeah, diddly squat...exactly!

I bet if given the opportunity, rookie Deuce Vaughn will return at least 1 punt or kickoff for a TD. I hope it happens. Hate using a roster spot for a preseason wonder who contributed absolutely nothing on Offense, nor returned a single punt or kickoff for a TD after being given kickoff and punt return duties full-time all season long.

You're the negative one. Most everyone is excited or anxious to see Simi Fehoko's growth this 3rd year. Dak and the Dallas Cowboys feel the same way. I guess you like being a Debbie Downer.

Every article and interview has said Tolbert gets it now. Every article and interview has said Gallup is finally healthy.

There hasn't been a negative word mentioned about either. So exactly how are we supposed to feel about those players?

I’m not being negative, I’m being honest. You construe everything I say as negative and it bothers you. You’re becoming more like Rockport every day. Lol With the WRs we have ahead of Fehoko he’s not going to get much opportunity unless we get hit by injuries. That’s just being honest. If that upsets you that’s your problem.

Articles saying he gets it and proving he gets it are two different things. All I’ve heard from Jalen Tolbert is talk. We’ll find out on the field during training camp and preseason if he gets it. As for Gallup we’ll find out on the field if he can return to form. I’m pulling for all these players, but I need to see it on the field. I’m not going to anoint any player until I see them perform.

Honest of what? The team likes what they are seeing out of Simi and Jalen. If that bothers you, feel free to skip this thread and go post your negativity somewhere else.

Reports were he looked good last camp but looked so flat in real games. My hope is he takes the next step, that's my hope for all players wearing the star but some guys (Bobby Carpenter) are simply practice warriors and not cut out for the real games.
Exactly, which is why I’m waiting until the games start. Back in the earlier 2000s the Cowboys had a receiver whose name escapes me that had great size, around 220 pounds with tremendous speed. Reports were he ran a sub 4.2 40. He was a training camp warrior! Made play after play after play in camp, but couldn’t catch anything in a preseason game. Someone will remember his name.

Cooper not being targeted WAS a problem—two years ago! He also had a tendency to slack off when he wasn’t getting his targets.

You’re “guaranteeing” failure in June, based on two years ago! Lol.

I’d rather be over optimistic than over pessimistic. Lol.

Where have I guaranteed failure? I may not believe in Fehoko but I never guaranteed he’ll fail. I’ve never guaranteed any player will fail. You obviously got the wrong read on my posts.

Thought he had 6, but he had 9. Still, none of our receivers produced more TDs than Amari Cooper last season, despite the bad team he played for and his QB situation. After moving on from Cooper, the Cowboys made a concerted effort to target CeeDee often to justify the move. They knew if he didn’t produce the Cooper trade would blow up in their face.

CeeDee would have had 10 if not for Schultz not running his route correctly allowing the safety to jump his route.
