It's the exact opposite of what the OP is claiming. Most #1's are not speed threats. To add to your list: Keenan Allen, Cooper Kupp, Michael Thomas.
People really need to stop taking what these talking heads say as gospel. Blazing speed is a nice to have for an NFL #1 receiver.. but aside from Tyreke Hill not a single one of the top receivers in the NFL currently would get an invite to the NFL's fastest man competition. Kupp? Nope, Cooper? Adams? Thomas? Hopkins? Jefferson? Chase? Chase ran a 4.38 at his LSU pro day which means his combine (actual) speed was probably along the lines of 4.45-4.5. He's not slow but he's not running away from NFL corners. Now can he go up and muscle the ball away from them? Absolutely.. Is he a flat out burner? Nope..
