Yea, another R.Williams Question

I want to believe that RW is going to rededicate himself and maybe the change of number will some how inspire his play.

But I remember reading before the season that Roy had lost 25lbs and was looking trim and such. I thought he looked lighter in the preseason, but towards the end, ya know.

Hopefully he will step it up this year the cowboys need it to get to the next level.

I don't get into too many internet pissing matches, but you people who say Roy is fine are absolutely delusional. Everyone else with an ounce of football knowledge know Roy is anything but "alright". He is absolutely foul, foul, foul.

He isn't even a shell of what he was the first few years in the league.

He either got fat and happy, or, and I hate to say this because I have no knowledge of it, but here goes........... Roy used to be on steroids, and he got off of them a couple years ago.

He used to be superman, and now he's clark kent. And it seemed like it happened overnight. It truly is one of the only explanations for his type of change.

Maybe he found god and got off roids, who knows, but this IS NOT the same man who used to play for us.

He is a complete and total liability, and if you can't see it, you are blind, blind, blind.

We will keep him one more year to see if he picks up his game, or pick up his syringe. Look for him to be a special teamer if he doesn't do one of the above.

It may be ridiculous, but I think that if Roy actually redidicated himself this offseason, assuming the loss is half as painful to him as it is to the fans, he can regain his old form and improve his coverage.

Honestly, I just don't think he works at it as much as he should be because he doesn't understand he might have to work twice as hard as everyone else to be as good.

It ain't happenin'......if this team, defensively is to get where it needs to be, Jerry has to 'let it go.'

This is the first poor season Roy has had really. Any safety is going to look bad with deadweight like Jacque Reeves and Nate Jones playing corner half of the season.

you guys go ahead and believe what you want though.

Probably the same people who claimed Al Johnson couldn't play Center. And assuming for one second you were even partially right, at least he could get a shotgun snap into the QB's hands.

Where have you been the last 2-3 years? In fact, Roy has been a liability in coverage since near the beginning.

Also funny how the guys he plays next to are always his excuse.

You know, maybe some of these guys in the secondary would be better if they had a better safety next to them.

Care to provide some stats to prove RW poor play?

That was an issue coming out of college, they knew he wasn't a cover safety, then again what SS is. It's time to move on, I don't see him not playing for this team next year. And if he does I'll sure as heck be rooting for him to do well. But, I 'm funny like that.
Carry on with the rant thou.

Just a theory. It just happens to fit perfectly.

Don't be naive though. If this is a problem in baseball, god knows how many users are in football.

If his name was Bill Smith cameras wouldn't pan to him on every big play regardless if he had nothing to do with the play. Sort of like Toomer's first TD where the camera panned to Roy for whatever reason, despite Henry being on the coverage and Henry/Elllis/Hamlin missing tackles. Something tells me that the camera wouldn't have panned Bill Smith.

Stats Shmats.

Watch the games. You notice the guy who wears #31 who gets runned over, fails to tackle people, and is generally in the wrong place at the wrong time? That would be Roy.

But hey, if you own his jersey, you gotta defend him right?

Watching the Cowboys, you? Nobody said Roy is great in coverage. He has made some big plays though (except for this year, he pretty much sucked - which I said to begin with)

2006 - Roy Williams lead all safeties in ints and takeaways
2005 - 2.5 sacks, 3 int (one for a TD to beat the Eagles), 3 forced fumbles for turnovers.

I think you would tell by physical appearance if he was on/off roids he wasn't go some where with that. It's a shame if he doesn't test positive then it means he isn't on roids don't accuse of him stuff because you thing it could possible might of happen. I would believe brett farve was on HGH or ROids be4 i would believe that RW was that streak is unheard of at the QB position i might add.
