Well the tide has changed my friend. If RW doesn't show something this offseason he will find himself on the sidelines more and more. They'll pay him but they don't have to play him.

So... when somebody calls a specific play into question and blames Roy for the coverage, your rebuttal is, WE DON'T KNOW THE COVERAGES! But you are going to sit here and tell me you knew the coverages for those specific plays and was able to assign fault? Are you kidding me???

The Giants didn't do squatt except win the game by making NO mistakes and taking our big plays away from us...what we didn't take away ourselves which was more than they did actually.

Roy had better rededicate himself. I find it hard to believe he really can't play. More like he's lost it by not doing enough to keep it. He should be able to get whatever is missing back. IMO. If not then we will go on. I don't see them being as forgiving and patient this next year. My guess is anyone not producing will find less play if there is someone else who can play. And that is a problem at safety for the Cowboys...one they had better address if they want to go further next year. I'll be upset and very surprised if we don't see some more competition at both safety and cornerback this coming year.

Knowing the way most feel about him, what's our option??

I know if we trade him , we take a tremendous Cap hit. but if the D stays as is and schemes don't change (to what ,I don't know) what can we do with a guy who can't cover and everybody knows it.

I like the hitting ,but his coverage skills are suspect at best.

We can't seem to hide him ,and others take advavtage.

Just thought I'd ask.

I I would also think a team message board is an appropriate place to discuss how players perform.

Sure it is, but I don't play the pile on game. His name is really far down on my list as to why we lost to the Giants and yet his name keeps popping up. I know he has limitations, he has had them since we drafted him but some posters make him out to be Rosemary's baby.

Ok so you dont think roy had anything to do with that 19 yard completion to boss right before the half.

I mean he was only sitting in zone 15 yards deep watching for that exact play when the ball goes right past him.

The problem is Todd Collins and Eli Manning had no fear, they just stare down the guys reeves and williams covered and then threw the ball there, and reeves and williams strategy of let em catch it and then tackle them is a critical flaw.

but if your stats dont tell you that roy had anything to do with that pass to boss that is fine. I will agree to disagree. But had roy had any ability to make a play on the ball manning doesnt even throw that ball, but he did and he completed it and we all know why.
