Tradition.
Wondered how long it would take for you to respond. Nice pics.
Tradition.
Leave it!! Classic NFL uniform.
Those blue pants are horrendous BTW. Looks like an arena league team.
Part of the process to enlightenment.
So far, Jerry has resisted the urge to sell out. The league may force his hand with the upcoming color on color match ups on Thursday Nights.
as you said opinion, does not matter to me how many other people feel differently about it. lol
And that's fair enough. I just don't get how the green pants can be supported, though. I mean the color in and of itself isn't bad, but it just makes zero sense to still have them that color. They aren't part of the color scheme. Everything should either be the official blue, silver or white, IMO.
I don't see how changing of the uniform can be supported. lol
It is opinions, mine just differs from yours.
I'm aware that's it's opinion. My question is, based on your opinion, for example, I don't get what people see in green pants when that color isn't really a Cowboys color. Do you actually prefer the green over a color that makes sense given the scheme?
I like the Cowboys uniform period. I don't want to see some high school or college look to the uniforms. Those who feel different that is fine, we all see things differently
My favorite Cowboys uniform of all time
Ok, but how does having pants that are exactly the same style-wise, but in an actual team color make them look like a high school uni? By that standard, does every uniform in the league, but our mismatched ones, look like high school unis?
They aren't part of the color scheme.
White is a color.
But, They are. Look at the Media Guide and you will see the "OFFICIAL" Team Slick. It's called Silver Green.
We have been using that "OFFICIAL" color since the 80's.
Tradition.
Right of course it's going to be a listed color as it's a currently used uniform color. I look at it this way, how much Cowboys merchandise have you seen use that green? I've personally seen a total of zero. And people like to mention tradition...as you said in your post, the green has only been used since the 80s.
Another fan of the Giant's colors I see. We will never use dark blue like that because of our division opponents.
I don't have a link, but in my reading, Tom Landry said (upon Tex's introduction of the then-new uniforms in 1964), "uniforms never won a game" (or words to that effect). While I agree with Tom, I still hate the seafoam green pants.Football or fashion show? Just win games!
Indeed; Dallas was once known as the "City that Killed Kennedy". It took decades to live that down.Something being a signature doesn't automatically mean it's a good one.
