Maybe you should until the playoffs start. This is a very good team that is certainly good enough to win in the playoffs. It could go down as one of the best Cowboy teams ever.
I feel it's a much bigger deal to get Tyron back for the stretch run and the playoffs then OBJ. If we lose in the trenches then a WR can't be effective. If you give me a choice of a former all pro coming off an injury I'd take the trench warrior over the WR. I'm not worried about WR as much as CB anyway. This OBJ thing is a blessing in disguise. We don't need him to succeed, we got the talent and getting more talented on the offensive line is going to take our offense to another level.

We shouldn’t have let cooper go. You don’t sign a WR that won’t play this year. The only real issue is why Jerry outed all this to the media. Nothing came out from bills or giants. Seems like a move by the team. We could have just not said anything at all they didn’t have to put the guys medical info out there.

Were 9-3 and Lamb is the #7 WR in the NFL in yards. Not to mention we freed up 22 million each year for 3 years by getting rid of him.

Getting rid of Cooper was 100% the obvious and correct move. The argument is over. Just man up and admit you are wrong.

The Cowboys weren't the first ones to express that concern. It was out there before OBJ visited the Cowboys, they just piled on top.

You're right about Cooper, he's on track for what he's done for most of his career 1100 yards and single digit tds. Despite his inconsistencies, he was another weapon for the offense. If they were going to let him go should have gotten more for his services, or just restructured his contract.
THIS. I see some on this board wanting to rationalize away how Cooper was handled but there were ways to keep him. That the team was entertaining Cooks and now Beckham Jr. is clearly an indication that they have "seller's remorse", especially for the compensation received (or asked for). A not great move...and a move that would've made this OBJ circus a complete non-issue for Cowboys fans. It "could" end up being the move that prematurely ends a season...because teams like SF and Philly will require your offense to be pretty damn potent...early and often.

The real issue was petting go of Wilson..would have been a great #3/4.

An even better move getting rid of Wilson. He was way overpaid and has done nothing in Miami.

Still haven’t won a playoff game so be quite.

We havent been to the playoff yet without Cooper genius. Its the first year. And did we win a playoff game with Cooper last year? LOL

And quit is spelled without an E on the end.

Are you permanently drunk all the time?

You are without a doubt the worst poster this board has EVER seen.

You assessment that letting go of Amari was correct is totally wrong. It hampered the salary cap with 6 million dead cap hit along with it being one of the worst trade deals in recent NFL history.

BTW CD was considered the #1 WR last season by many and he had mere 27 yards with zero TDs. Amari was the only WR that scored vs 49ers.

Cowboys are 9-3 without Cooper, so you’d be wrong.

The Cowboys are fine at WR for the system they RUN.
Jerry looks inept trying to sign a dude like OBJ when he let a lead dog in Cooper go for next to nothing.
Dak has to stop throwing picks. The "cupcake" games are coming to a close in two weeks.
The team culture is tight right now. Don't mess with that dynamic unless necessary (CB).

I don't understand what all of these threads are about. The current WR core are playing very well. The Cowboys have scored a lot of points lately. What are those wanting to sign OBJ thinking?
If one of them gets injured we are really short handed. Plus, a healthy OBJ is much better than Noah Brown as your WR3.

Not hard to see why adding more proven playmakers is a good thing. The only issue is health.

I would say we could use an upgrade at the WR#3 position. Noah is a solid #4, but we need a better #3.

But we need to see how we are at CB first. CB may be a more pressing need. And we really won't know that until we play the Eagles in 3 weeks (because the Texans and Jags BETTER not expose the Cowboys' DBs).

BEREA – Amari Cooper hadn't worked with Deshaun Watson much since August. So there were parts of the quarterback's game with which the Browns receiver needed to get back up to speed.

One of the biggest is the timing Watson has with his pass catchers.

"He has great anticipation, but really you attribute that to his hard work," Cooper said Thursday. "He's real good at, 'OK, this is my receiver. I'm going to look at film of him to see how he runs routes' so that he can know how to anticipate throwing you certain routes. "

That anticipation is why there's such as anticipation among the Browns' offensive skill players to have Watson back under center after the conclusion of his 11-game suspension. That anticipation for them comes to a head on Sunday in Houston, where he makes his first regular-season start for the Browns against the Texans.

I'd be butt hurt to if the guy I'm paying 20 million a year to is constantly sitting on the sidelines on crucial drives and plays at the end of the season. If he makes bonehead decisions that keeps him from playing in important games that we end up losing. If when we need plays to be made, it's a 50/50 if he's gonna even try.

Yall wanna make it sound like Amari is so great and awesome and he's not. He was overpaid, and letting him go wasn't the wrong move. Replacing him and Cedric Wilson with Washington and Tolbert was the wrong move.

Resigning Gallup was a wrong move. Signing OBJ if it happens is another wrong move.

Still with the Cooper crap. We were going to cut Cooper and needed to because of the cap. We were lucky to get anything for him after basically telling the whole league we were going to cut him. The day he was signed his contract was structured to cut him this year. What is it about cutting Cooper being a smart cap move are people unable to grasp?
