You have to pick one Cowboy and no other

Tony Dorsett is the reason I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan.
I used to be a Washington Football Team fan and HATED Roger Staubach and the Cowboys.
I couldn't wait to play in the NFL and put Staubach out of the game with a vicious sack (daydreaming as a youngster since I would in no way get big enough to be a NFL defensive lineman based on sheer genetics).
But I loved me some Tony Dorsett when he played for the University of Pittsburgh.
His speed, his spin move, the same things I would do on the playground playing football with my friends.
And then the Cowboys manufactured a way to shnooker the Seattle Seahawks. And Tony Dorsett was a Cowboys.
So I abandoned the Skins and was a Cowboy for life.
Just to think I might have been this close to being a Seahawks fan. Whew!

All 'Skins fans are closet Cowboys fans.
Congrats on your coming out... lol

Seen a few of these types of threads while we wait for the draft and new season.

So here is my simple question - Who is your favorite Dallas Cowboy of all-time?

No diplomatic lists, no I used to pick this person and now I go with this player.

Point blank, who is your single favorite player, the legend of legends that you saw play?

For me, Troy Aikman.

Never met a Super Bowl he couldn’t win. Leader on and off the field. No nonsense.
I love Troy to death, but on rainy days he HATED to throw a wet ball. The GREAT Emmitt Smith had to carry an EXTRA HEAVY load on those bad weather days lol. I see your point though, but I think even Troy would pick Emmitt.

Tony Dorsett in his PRIME was an absolute SPECTACLE to see.. He had EVERYTHING that is required for GREATNESS = SPEED, QUICKNESS, EXPLOSIVENESS & ELUSIVENESS. They called him HAWK because of his big eyes, and great vision and field awareness. His personal achievements are second to none: Heisman Trophy, NFL Rookie of the Year, Super Bowl Champion, College & Pro Football Hall of Fame. As a dinosaur Cowboys fan I've witnessed many great players over the years, but Tony D was SPECIAL. Forever#33

Such a hard choice but for me it would have to be Emmitt Smith. And the reason is about eight years ago at a promotion he was doing in Las Vegas for a sports good store, I got to sit and chat with him for about 40 minutes. The deal was he signed a football that you purchased and you got your picture taken with him. I mentioned the 93 season game when he returned against the Cardinals. The Cowboys had started 0-2 that year on their way to Win their second consecutive Super Bowl. If you recall Emmitt had held out for a higher contract. That was the game he returned and the Cowboys won in Tempe 17 to 10 in a rather boring game. They went on a roll after that.

anyhow, I mentioned to Emmitt that I was at that game. And he engaged in a nice conversation.

As much as I'm a fan of that 90's squad. Not one of them would be sporting a Superbowl Championship under Garrett.

This is like if you had to cut off one would it be left or right?
