I'm 26...really started following the Cowboys seriously during the 2002 season...

Let's relive some of those oh so awesome moments
- Dallas loses to Houston in the Texans first game ever as a franchise
- Dallas goes 10-6 under the direction of Bill Parcells and loses to the Panthers in the playoffs; a team they beat earlier in the season
- Quincy Carter is cut out of the blue, despite being the QB for the Cowboys first winning season since 1998
- Dallas passes on Steven Jackson and drafts Julius Jones
- Mark Brunell throws two bombs to Santana Moss in the final 3 minutes to win 14-13
- In 2005, Dallas starts 7-3 only to lose 4 of their last 6 games and misses the playoffs
- Tony Romo takes over for Drew Bledsoe and brings the Cowboys to the playoffs for the first time since 2003...and then...yeah...
- Dallas steamrolls through the regular season to a 13-3 record only to get knocked out of the playoffs by a team they beat twice earlier in the season
- In 2008, Romo throws a pick six late in a crucial game against the Steelers
- At the very last game in Texas Stadium, McClain and McGahee put the dagger in the Cowboys as they run for 82 yard and 77 yard TDs, respectively
- The following week, in a win or go home game... 44-6
- Romo finally wins his first playoff game and then the team proceeds to get killed by Favre and the Vikings
- Off the heels of a successful season, Dallas promptly starts their season 1-7
- In 2011, Dallas starts off wonderfully with a pick six to Darrelle Revis sealing the game for the Jets
- The Cowboys, 7-4, go on to lose the next 4 games out of 5, including a win or go home game against the Giants
- RG3 embarrasses the Cowboys on Thanksgiving
- Dez Bryant extends his finger just a little too far...
- Romo throws a crucial INT in a win or go home game against Washington
- Dallas puts on one of the most exciting games in history against Denver, and with a chance to prove everyone wrong, Romo proves everyone right.
- Dallas gives up 329 yards to Megatron and allows the Lions to win the game with under a minute left
- Dallas allows an NFL HISTORY record by letting the Saints convert 40 first downs
- Dallas allows the biggest comeback in their history by letting the Packers come back and win after Romo throws 2 crucial interceptions
- With chance to go to the playoffs once again, Kyle Orton breaks our hearts by throwing an INT on the final, potential game winning drive
epic list and i remember every bit of it. just an embarrassing pathetic franchise. you forgot a few....

-losing a OT game due to a blocked punt. Arizona, '08.

-having a 35 yd game winning FG blocked, returned, flagged for a face mask, and the Skins kicking the game winning FG with :00 seconds on the clock, '06.

-T.O. humiliating the star, Brandon Jacobs desecrating the star, that Lions receiver breaking the star with the football, Eli autographing the locker room, "lights out!"

-Jerry grainy cell phone video admitting he signed Parcells solely to get his stadium.

-"Kick the Giants ***"

-Cowboys quitting versus the Packers in '10.

-Watching opposing fans (Saints, Steelers, Packers, Bears) take over our stadium.

Choice getting Vicks autograph.

None of these two lists are opinion by a hater or homer, .. just disgusting facts that have happened to this once proud franchise.

Thanks Jerry.

Sickening...how could I forgot that embarrassment. The only thing that keeps us fans is our attachment to the past.

Which is WHY we must find a young Cowboys QB.

I know all about Romo's "greatness," stats and all that, but IMO, he's plateaued, and if in fact he has plateaued, it'll only go downfield from here, regardless of the team around him.

This isn't a shot at Romo, but after living through Aikman's rookie year, I'm telling all the young fans that nothing can energize the fan base and team like the feeling of knowing you have a young stud at QB combined with a young team (Smith, Dez, Williams, Escobar, Fred, Lee, Claiborne, etc). The feeling's infectious.

I wish I could give you 100 likes. I seriously had the exact same thoughts a few minutes ago watching Johnny Manziel gather his troops on the sidelines and yell and inspire them to hold their heads up high and keep fighting in the game. I want an alpha male back at the QB position. I am so sick and tired of Romo and all of the excuses that come with him. I am sick of his mopey personality. I am sick of the countless jokes I have to endure b/c of his late game blunders. Like you said, this franchise and its fanbase desperately needs some life instilled into it. The best way to do that is change the QB. If Johnny Manziel is available after 10 picks, you have to move up and draft him to save this franchise.

Those days really sucked. Dang. Cowboys Weekly. Now i get beter news here and for free! that is why i love you guys, you big lugs.

In the early days of the internet, my wife couldn't justify the price. Not kidding. I wanted it badly so I told her I would cancel all my mag subscriptions because I could read them on the world wide web for free. It worked.

You have lost your title as 'Big Dog' after that post. LOL

The Cowboys teams of the 90's I truly believe were the best of the best. So much talent and so much depth. I would put up those teams vs any SB Champions of the past and be confident of a win. Also, I would put Jimmy J up against any SB winning coaches of the past and be confident of having the best coach. Those Cowboys teams were the Cockiest **'ers of all time and so was their coach and I loved every damn minute of it. That team talked plenty of crap but they sure as hell backed it up. Boy did I love those teams.

24, depressed is an understatement.
Pretty smart for a young guy. I was there through the 70s glory years, the sad 80's and the great early to mid nineties. Let me tell you this young people, if this team ever gets back to glory, the ratings would blow off the top. Fans would come from all over the world, it would be amazing. And this is why I have such and attitude at 43 years old. It's because I want guys my age not to forget who we were, and I want the young guys to understand that we don't put up with losing around these parts. And you young man, you get this.

If we were to get a young stud QB in the draft, this fan base would simply come alive. Something to look forward to. Orton gave us a touch of what we need. A strong arm, quick reads, but someone who has a knack for winning. If we found that, I promise you we would simply be competing for Super Bowls, and you guys will get rewarded for your loyalty.

What makes you younger fans hang in there? Parents are Cowboy fans so you latched on? All you have really known is Jerry's team, as a 40 year old who remembers the times before Jerry started screwing things up I struggle with my interest. Think it would be a lot easier to just turn off if all I have ever known is bad Jerry.

I'm 40 years old with a 9 year old son that laughs at me for being a Cowboys fan. He started following NFL football seriously last season, and is a Niners fan. Even he is smart enough to know that Jerry Jones needs to fire himself. Pathetic I know.

I have been watching and following this team since 1977.. I have witnessed a lot of great teams, players and wins..

Which is why I am so whisky bent and hellbound, so pissed off as to what I have witnessed from this franchise for the past 17 years.. It is completely frustrating and anger kicks in.. Knowing that one egomaniac man has destroyed this once great brand and team that was THE Dallas Cowboys.. This franchise is a shell of it's former self.

I feel sorry for the younger fans. I try to explain to my son, born in 93, what it was like to have a the best team in the league but words can't truly describe it. Sadly, none of you will be able to experience it as long as Jerry is around.:( I had always given Jerry credit that even if I didn't like what he was doing, at least he wanted to win. We now all know he would rather be proven right about his "pet" project than winning football. So sorry guys, the future is bleak as long as Jerry is here. At least the older fans have the memories.

Speaking of the past, you can add "Landry died a Giants fan" to your list.
