I was going to mention A-ha but they did have another song that peaked at #20 in the US.

But I will say "Take On Me" was a friggin monster when it came out.

I meant the one that peaked at 20. Wasn’t really clear now that I look back. I do like Metal but I like a wide range of music. Take On Me was a great tune and they had nothing else (that I’ve heard) that’s even decent

Yeah I was meh on their follow-up hit.

"Take On Me" is one of the greatest all-time songs IMO.

It’s a legit tune. I don’t know anybody that can hear that song and not sing along and try to hit that high note at least once (nobody can hit that note)

This guy is from my neck of the woods. Good guy that got screwed over by the business. He named his band after a shrimping boat on South Padre Island. He makes a good living playing cruise ships.
