Your Impressions of Stephon Gillmore?

Our pick up this offseason, how are you liking what he's bringing to this team in our 3 games. What is he doing well, what can he do better? I feel like there's added pressure to him with the loss of Diggs. Please give your thoughts.....
Seems solid.

He seems to play a lot of trail tech.

Savvy veteran who has lost a step. Still can play, but he's not the All Pro he was in his prime.

Both corners are good enough. I more worried about LB play. Anyone remember who the corners were for the 2007 Giants?

I like the guy and the player. He's 33, but too early to tell what he brings. He's been solid so far.

I still wish we had Anthony Brown tho.

How quickly these guys go from ‘best free agent signing ever’ to ‘old man dud.’
I think we were all so shocked Jerry went for a big name free agent veteran that we didn’t want to jinx it by shoveling dirt on it at the time. The preseason hopium is wearing off.

Excellent pairing with Diggs, but now Gillmore is our primary, shifted the entire balance of this back seven.

better than brown. not elite any longer.

Ditto here.

Just like a previous post said Gilmore is using and relying more on his vast game experience and
techniques to hold his own at this point, but he doesn’t have the top end speed anymore.

- Not a shutdown type, but he should have enuff overall to be able to hold up for most part.
But I am confident (hopeful?) that Gilmore can still hold his own for the most part.

- He's really a No.2, with or without Diggs, and I doubt they 'll ask him to move around to shadow
the opposing team's best lead WR.
I think he'll always stay on that RCB role.

- Watch out for Daron Bland, as this year could be actually be a long term audition
for the starting outside CB role on a permanent basis.

- If Bland holds up very well on outside, the Cowboys could say farewell to Gilmore (whose only on a 1 year deal)
and look to a 1 year re-sign with Lewis, or introduce others as the new 3rd/slot CB guy ( Scott?)

Agree 100, great duo but now the shift/balance my take a bit to settle and work out any kinks. Certainly didn't have time to get all the adjustments made in the short amount of time. I expect we will see improvement over the next week or two.

The lost of diggs definitely hurt but we won’t have to worry bout him getting cooked like bland last week no matter if he lost a step or not fyi he’s a dawg on madden with me tho

First of all he is not a shut down corner, or even close to it. His speed is below average and is not physical. Is certainly not worth the money he got at this stage of his career.....it is on the downside suddenly. Relieved not much time to go, need to upgrade pronto.

He’s great when the pass rush is humming..

He can’t hold onto receivers for long periods like he used to.
