Those teams didn't get the word yet. lol
The team that ran this one over in the playoffs still went out and got the top FA on the market and signed a RB and also drafted one!! lol someone should let them know how unimportant it is. I don’t see a single team operating like this one. This front office is absolute crap!

Free agency proved this completely false when the well dried up in 1 day. It was the fastest position group to get signed.
Yeah they may not get what they are worth but I didn't see Josh Jacobs, Barkley, Henry or anyone else struggle to sign. Pollard too.

To be honest...the RB market looks far better in free agency then it does in the draft. All these RB's in the draft who people keep saying you can find a back they all look like busts.

Not sure if bringing him back was a good thing. I guess we'll wait and see.

I remember the knee injuries. He was actually lucky his leg or ankle was not broken. When Dak was injured and we had Cooper playing we played vikings. Game was tight and Cooper hit Elliot down around the 20. Looked like he was going to split the tacklers and score but one held on and tackled him the way Dak broke his ankle and Gallup. He limped off but played through it. Another game he actually scored and someone tackled him the same way again in the endzone. He hobbled off then and was not the same again while we had him..
Yeah, it's hard to play through that, much less play well. I don't blame Elliott for his body failing him. He held up really well for years, but now that it's starting to break down, I can't see that getting any better. There is no fountain of youth in football.

To be fair, Green Bay also lost the RB who ran over us. Don't know if Jacobs will be an improvement, and who knows how the backs in this draft will turn out.

Not saying that's an excuse for us not taking one. Just saying it's hard to say that Green Bay improved over what it had, but at least it didn't take a step backward like we appear to be doing at the position.

I think that's one reason they went so quickly. Most GMs looked at the draft and thought they might not get a starter from it. So the ones who actually valued quality RBs went and got theirs.

If at least two of OL additions pay dividends in 2024 that should improve our run blocking. That’s another element that could make bringing back Zeke beneficial.
I really think it could turn out better than imagined if we're able to keep Tyler at guard and Beebe turns out to be a power center. We will hammer Elliott up between the tackles and if the combo of Tyler-Beebe-Martin can get knockback, that could force defenses to put more in the box to stop it. We could have made that much more effective by getting a back like Henry instead, but this is what we've got. Even though I'm not a fan of it compared to what we could have done, that doesn't mean it can't be effective enough.

So, one of the Zeke terms of contract is that he helps deliver a higher draft position in all 7 rounds of the draft.... I'm just telling you what I've heard.

Can he still fall forward before getting touched with the best of them? Thr biggest factor was probably Jerry being able to sell through all the clearance Elliott jerseys boxed up on his yacht.

At this stage Zeke could be a mentor for the younger players and can be successful in a secondary role. Question is how will the Cowboys use him?

3 straight seasons over 1k yards and 7 tds sucks? He’s not elite but he’s still good. I think some overvalue ypc.
Nice lack of context

Najee Harris touches the ball 250+ times a season and barely gets over 1,000 yards. His longest run? 37 yards his rookie season. He has also cost his team by dancing like an idiot in the backfield and losing yards. He thinks he's more agile than he actually is.

I do think this is a underrated aspect of Zeke. He's become a much better leader and character guy since coming into the league. Only problem is....who the hell is he gonna mentor lol? Would've been nice to have had a actual young rookie prospect to mentor lol.
