He signed a 3 year 24 million dollar deal. Zeke signed for 3 million. If both were 3 million i'd imagine they'd have more interest in Pollard.
That 3 year deal for Pollard has a 4 million hit this upcoming season, 8 next, and then there is an out his third season where he is getting no guaranteed money.

I said he didn't break the bank because he didn't. The idea we couldn't afford a contract like this for Pollard who would give us better production than Zeke AND has better pass blocking abilities than Zeke at this point in their career is absurd.

I didn't care that we let Pollard walk. But if we just had to bring back an RB, I would have chosen Pollard.

I really think it could turn out better than imagined if we're able to keep Tyler at guard and Beebe turns out to be a power center. We will hammer Elliott up between the tackles and if the combo of Tyler-Beebe-Martin can get knockback, that could force defenses to put more in the box to stop it. We could have made that much more effective by getting a back like Henry instead, but this is what we've got. Even though I'm not a fan of it compared to what we could have done, that doesn't mean it can't be effective enough.
A lot will depend on the development of our young players in the OL. Barring a trade during the season, RB will be one of our top needs entering the offseason.

I do think this is a underrated aspect of Zeke. He's become a much better leader and character guy since coming into the league. Only problem is....who the hell is he gonna mentor lol? Would've been nice to have had a actual young rookie prospect to mentor lol.
I think he can influence some of our younger players not just the backs on our roster. Like Dez before, Zeke brings a certain intensity that rubs off on his other teammates.

Those are two completely different salaries though. I would've brought back Pollard especially knowing what I know now. that we wouldn't address RB..

I love all the people posting Zeke highlights from multiple years ago on X. I can post Emmitt highlights too, but we don’t want him play football right now.

Hunter Leupke can literally do everything you want from Zeke at this stage of his career
Hunter is a sleeper RB for sure.

how about all of y'all that are dissatisfied with this offseason and this team and this front office why don't you go get $10 billion wait in line and buy your own team but in the meantime why don't you try to add a team to the UFL , come on guys why don't you get some of those money seeding things online , find enough money to buy a professional team, start there and show us how you know more, show us how you're an expert ,just come show me ,if not stop judging every move until there's any reason to call it a bad move...

because being an observer you're just a casual fan watching football and you think that you can question every move as if you know better it's ridiculous get over it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they've got a whole stable of running backs right now , but we have now Royce ,zeke, dowdle, Peat, Vaughn and hunter.. They will all compete for three or four spots...

They will get it figured out , they will find the best of those guys and like Jerry said in the statement I read somewhere if this doesn't work out they can make a trade anytime up to the trade deadline to bring in a running back during the season ,he's not worried about it.... And he's right there's no need to worry until there is ,

why don't we see how this plays out before we deem it all bad...
I have seen what they do and the results for the last 25 years, how many years do you need to see it before you realize they do not know what they are doing. I am just looking at playoff wins which should be the goal. Only 3 teams in the NFL with less of those then the Cowboys.

Hopefully, Steele also returns to form a year removed from his torn ACL. He was a high-caliber run blocker before the injury. I do like the competition and potential depth we have on the offensive line to try to find a group that can be good. We can't replace Tyron easily (no team could), but we may have better interior than we did with Biadasz at center. Now, it could be worse because Biadasz is an NFL-quality center and we have no idea if Hoffman or Beebe will be, but I don't feel the bar was set that high by Biadasz, and I do feel Beebe (if he can handle snapping the ball) brings a lot more power to the position.

Im fine with this. He’s not an RB1 anymore but I think he still has something left. Hes a cowboy. Not sure why people hate Zeke now.
If he's no longer RB1 then who do you think is on this roster?
