If at least two of OL additions pay dividends in 2024 that should improve our run blocking. That’s another element that could make bringing back Zeke beneficial.

Perfect for a RB by committee. No reason to have a RB that gets 350 carries and pay them $10M a year.

Have 2 RB's that get 175 carries and pay them a combined $4M a year.
I don’t want anything to do with an RB who averages 3.5 YPC, by committee or otherwise.

When has Zeke shown ever that he does well splitting carries? 2022 he was good at the goal line, but other than that, he was below average. He can't hit the outside and his second gear has been gone since like 2018.

If you wanted to take a chance on a vet, Kareem Hunt probably has more gas in the tank than Zeke.

DMac had 4 rushing TDs in 2015. Zeke will have that many by game 5. The biggest benefit from having Zeke back on the roster is he has been the best short yardage and goal line runner in the league for the better part of four years. Even in the two seasons he played on one leg he was top two in that department. Father Time as they say is undefeated and has robbed Zeke of his home run ability. But everything else about his game is intact. This team absolutely missed his toughness and physicality last season. Glad to have him back.
Henry has been better the last 4 seasons as goal line runner

I will say this:

- Fundamentally I am against going backwards...you threw it out, the trash is on the curb and then you back into the trash and rummage to find something you already agreed was TRASH.
- That said, there were a number of times on Sundays I would look up and ask, "Who is that #15...?" and it was Zeke. He's got something...just don't know how much.

Lower-body injuries. He started out 2021 looking the best he had in years. He got his playing weight down and hasd more spring in his step. Only those who dislike the player deny that, but the evidence (numbers) is there. That October, he suffered a knee strain. He hurt his ribs in the next game. Then, he suffered another knee strain in early November and a PCL tear in later November. Just because he played through those injuries made it to where some fans expected those injuries to not take a toll, especially with most of them to his lower body. He probably should have been shut down. The next year, he also started out decently before suffering a knee sprain in October.

Now, no injuries show up in the report on him in 2023, but all of those lower-body injuries may have added up and contributed to him hitting the RB wall. I would expect this year, even if he is somehow revitalized early, for his body to not hold up again because he's just reached the point where that happens. Players want to continue their careers, but sometimes the body just says no.
I remember the knee injuries. He was actually lucky his leg or ankle was not broken. When Dak was injured and we had Cooper playing we played vikings. Game was tight and Cooper hit Elliot down around the 20. Looked like he was going to split the tacklers and score but one held on and tackled him the way Dak broke his ankle and Gallup. He limped off but played through it. Another game he actually scored and someone tackled him the same way again in the endzone. He hobbled off then and was not the same again while we had him..
