The worst cowboy of all time Ezekiel Elliott, when it comes to money paid and results. He absolutely sucks..

Thank You. I have a feeling Pollard will be fine.

He's a champ, man. That's why I would have tagged him, too. That's the kind of playmaker who helps you win championships.
In all honesty, you can probably look at it like he could also come in mid-season next year.

But I expect Pollard to be back and not miss a beat on this one. It's not a ligament tear or anything along those lines. It was a fracture, and sort of a sprain.
He tore ligaments.

High ankle sprain plus broken leg.

Plus 10 million $ tag.

But people are butt hurt level bravo about Zeke. 8/

Look at him before the knee injury. He was fast abd explosive. Plus we all know he had power and blocking. He just needs to sit out when hurt I like pollard to avoid putting out bad take. He also needs a better running scheme abd left guard. I predict pollard will diss a pint with more Carrie’s this year and zeke will be fresh in the second half if the year fir the first time in years and play great.
I'll have what OP's smoking.

There's a telling stat that I dont have the link to now(sorry) of cumulative carries by past RBs of when they had reached a certain number of career touches/carries...1500 maybe? And the list was of very good to HOF level RBs that showed strong evidence of decline in production from almost all who reached that milestone. Zeke is in this category.
A very strong downward spiral afterwards for all.

Good stuff.

I think they’ve tried to extend his career by using the 2 back rotation.

He’s certainly nearing his cap on rushes.

The freakish injury to Pollard probably extends his career, for this year at least.

no he can't. his goose is cooked. he is done. he is older. multiple injuries. obviously much slower. he has no burst. can't get to the corner. move on. you can't catch lighting in a bottle any more.

Pollard is the one with the rebuilt leg.

With all due respect you need an eye exam…

Um...almost.

You tell me what other elite, NFL rushing champion running back had to also play offensive lineman and fullback.

You won't respond...you will cower. and hide.

Because there isn't one who did more than Zeke. And you treat him like sheet for it. Curbstomp his teeth.

To be fair...I am still trying to research the stats.....What rb....especially an "elite" #1 NFL rushing champion....has the most blocks. This would include "chips" while still getting handoff or pass. It would have a weight factor for blocking O line or tiny DB. It would include any double blocking....2 or more "chips" "diversions" or "pancakes" on any given play.

How many did Barry Sanders have?

Cower.

So let’s pay him for past production when he can give us nothing now or future? Are you related to Jerry? Just not how the world works in football or corporate and esp with salary caps. Maybe you should attack how overpaid QBs are or push for a standardized more equitable set of rules for salaries because as it is…you have to pay your QB 20% of the cap or more and find cheap labor everywhere you can.

He should be the starter. Since the beginning of the 2021 season. I (like most in here) have been saying that for a long time.

But that doesn't mean he can handle 25-30 touches a game for 17 games. Glad you agree with me he wasn't drafted for that.

We all know his role. Approx 20 touches a game with a complementary back (or two) getting the rest. Just like almost every other team in the NFL does.
I think you are saying that just because you are "the starter" doesn't mean you have to carry 40 times? I agree with that.

However...being the #1 RB starter..means you set the tone, take the punishment of a fresh defense....and get game planned by the DC.

Tony has never really done that...prolly since high school. I'm not sure why people have such high confidence he can do that ... all game, every game, all season.

Imma root for him...but I'll have a small bit of concern too.

Two back rotation is here to stay.

Pollards leg is wrecked. He might not even get a contract offer from Jerry before the deadline this Summer.

Zeke has been around 230 rushes the last two seasons.

This helps extend his career.

The #ZekeHate on here is strong.

Why does everything have to be hate or homer?
I was a huge fan of Zeke when we picked him. Still like him a lot as a Cowboy but cmon man, he’s done and it’s abundantly obvious to everyone. He had a good run. (For 3 yards, ha couldn’t resist)

I never said pay him...so not sure why you are arguing that. I RARELY say ANYTHING about money and contracts about any player. Clear?

That’s what we are doing though by keeping him. I agree he’s a warrior.
