Lol, why would anyone cower to some clown on a football fan forum? Nearly EVERY 5+ year RB Pre-2000 took way more hits/damage then Zeke ever has. It used to be a running league. Only a Zeke jersey wearing groupie would put Zeke over old school RB's. Lame and stupid.
Well then show me the stats. I only asked the question not made a statement. Show me.

Take YOUR word for it? Another "clown on a football fan forum"? Yeah right.

That’s what we are doing though by keeping him. I agree he’s a warrior.
I don;t think I said we must keep him. In fact I'm on record for letting him walk. To a different team committed to running the ball...with people and mind set to do it. Not this wishy washy NCAA Mountain West offense KM was running.

He'll surely will never be 2016...of course. But I disagree he's a total wash. No biggie, lets move on.

He should be the starter. Since the beginning of the 2021 season. I (like most in here) have been saying that for a long time.

But that doesn't mean he can handle 25-30 touches a game for 17 games. Glad you agree with me he wasn't drafted for that.

We all know his role. Approx 20 touches a game with a complementary back (or two) getting the rest. Just like almost every other team in the NFL does.
It still remains to be seen if he can handle even 20 touches a game, since he never had that many in a season, that would be 340 in a 17-game season.
And if he's so good is 20 a game enough for him to make the impact needed to help carry this team to a SB? That would be catches and carries, most backs can't really get in a rhythm with only like 15 carries a game.

And we all remember Marion Barber, also a part time back and when he was named the starter, he didn't do as well as the "Barber should be the starter" folks hoped.

Not every back is designed to be the lead dog. Again, I hope he does great, but he's not done it yet, is all I'm saying. I don't want everybody to think "We'll make Pollard the starter and the SBs are going to roll in".

Zeke reminds me of a lot of the older or journeymen RB's you see. Football smarts, experience, versatility and blocking capability keep you in the league. He can play, but you don't tie up significant resources in him. He's always been a good option when you need 1-2 yards but big play ability is not there.

Could he have a great summer and come in and perform behind a great Oline, maybe, but if you're investing $10M in cap space on that it is probably a risky investment.

Look at him before the knee injury. He was fast abd explosive. Plus we all know he had power and blocking. He just needs to sit out when hurt I like pollard to avoid putting out bad take. He also needs a better running scheme abd left guard. I predict pollard will diss a pint with more Carrie’s this year and zeke will be fresh in the second half if the year fir the first time in years and play great.
Take the glasses off so you can see.

Gee, I thought Zeke was a veteran. And nobody said Zeke was going to be the full-time guy, either.

And you're going to pay Pollard $10-plus million a year, dam right he's gonna "carry the load".
"Carrying the load" doesn't necessarily mean carrying the ball 20+ times a game. What it could mean in this offense is that Pollard gets 12-15 carries a game and, FINALLY, his passing game prowess is put on full display and he catches 3-5 passes a game (like in many WCO where the lead RB's tend to catch a LOT of passes). I'm betting Pollard could definitely do that. All Pollard has to do is average Zeke's 17 TPG (touches per game) to be considered the "lead" back. In the last 11 games last year, Pollard averaged 16 TPG for more than 96 YPG - in a dual back offense, those are DEFINITELY lead numbers.

Was time travel invented that I didn’t hear about? Zeke going back to 2016-18? That’s the only way it’s going to happen.
Even if he takes a pay cut with Dallas or signs with another team he simply doesn’t have tread. If he gets enough carry’s, which he won’t, he will break down anyway.

I'm assuming you mean Pro Bowl, not All Pro

How? I don’t think scoring the most touchdowns from inside the 5 yard line will make him an all pro
Exactly, all pro would have to be somewhere around 1,700 plus total yards with 10 plus td’s. He will never get enough touches to come close and if he did get more touches he would break down falling way short. It’s over, I get it’s hard for some fans to realize that because he was special for a few years and guy want to believe ge still can be.

zeke

10,000 APY

80 TDs

We got our moneys worth.
How'd the team do?

2 playoff wins in his entire tenure here. In a league were teams are competing and winning SBs paying their TBs peanuts, we hauled off an gave our TB the largest contract for a RB in history and it got us.............. nothing.

Are you being serious? Zeke was never as explosive as Pollard. Even go back to his rookie year, I remember that long TD screen he has against the Steelers, I also remember another long run against the Bengals.
To me he just doesn't have the vision especially in the second level that Pollard or other explosive backs have.
The guy is overrated and needs to be cut asap, just let him know to empty out his locker and find another team. Save over 11 million the cap.
To me there is no other option.
I would try to go trade for the guy we should have drafted, Ramsey. He can be had.

Zeke reminds me of watching Marion Barber when it was all over.
