It still remains to be seen if he can handle even 20 touches a game

For the 500th time...I'll say it

Two backs in the ENTIRE NFL averaged 20 carries a game.

ALL OTHER backs averaged under 18 carries per game. High volume RBs don't exist in the NFL anymore. And most every team uses RB by committee.

LOL.

Nothing will change the minds of the Elliott fanboy crowd.

Geesh and some of these are the bring-Switzer-back-and-run-the-Wishbone types. No clue.

It's like their brains are stuck.

The chances of him staying healthy and getting enough carries alone is unlikely. Anything is possible but the probability is miniscule.
Let's define miniscule. Zeke being all pro again is on the same level as me dating Shakira.

Look at him before the knee injury. He was fast abd explosive. Plus we all know he had power and blocking. He just needs to sit out when hurt I like pollard to avoid putting out bad take. He also needs a better running scheme abd left guard. I predict pollard will diss a pint with more Carrie’s this year and zeke will be fresh in the second half if the year fir the first time in years and play great.
Arguing Zeke still has something in the tank I get. Arguing he could still be an All Pro borders on insanity

the only way he can be all pro again is if the NFL and the teams get together and convert all the fields to mud holes. He wouldn't need speed anymore. He could continue his ram-head-butting approach to running.

You’re the sane ones who thought Gallup was better than cooper . Then we traded cooper

No he can't. He's not that guy anymore. He's taken a pounding in his career. The injuries have taken that extra gear.

I enjoy this positive take on a player who has given his all for this franchise….

RB’s typically don’t have a revival as demanding physically the position is. The RB just isn’t a very mental position. Zeke cannot have a Geno Smith type of comeback one would think. However, didn’t JJ Watt? How much has playing thru injury harmed his reputation? His durability is Emmitt Smith esque and he deserves respect from this fan base….

The real problem is how RBs are being chewed up and spit out because of the nature of the position. Zeke deserved to be paid and I personally resent this newfound mentality that you abuse one of the most important positions on the field and never fairly compensate them. RBs should be exempt from the CAP so that franchises can fairly compensate them….

Just hang tight my brother because the running back resurgence is right around the corner. As soon as all these teams start lining up a bevy of 225 pound defensive ends looking for edge speed offenses will start back ramming the ball down their throats with the run game. It may take a couple more years but you can already see it coming. The one caveat being that the league might keep changing the rules to make it so damn easy to pass that it might take a little longer for that day to arrive.

This is true but one thing CAN give a back a chance to get back closer to top form.. Time to heal up. John Riggins took almost two years off from the game and came back way better than he was before. Curtis Martin had hes BEST season at age 31 .. I think Jerome Bettis had some resurgent years after a couple of down ones as well. Not saying it's common, but it's also not impossible. If Zeke were to sit out the entire 2023 season I would wager he would likely come back looking a lot like fresh legged rookie Zeke in 2024. But we know he aint doin that. The guy's a warrior who lives to play the game. He's going to go out on his shield. I can't be mad at that.
