If we had another 5 minutes in that game, things may have gotten interesting. Zeke was getting better as the game went.

It's this kind of thinking that lost the game.

Its not even your money.
You beat me to it. What an absolute disgusting thing to say not only against zeke but the good fans that genuinely support our team.

That is how Zeke works. Always has....since Ohio State.

Some idiots never noticed or don't know football....at least a power run back. Like Emmitt Smith.

I include KM in that statement.

Zeke had a nice game and was definitely running hard. The problem is a nice game for Zeke is now 80+ yards when it used to be like 125+.

Dude hasn't rushed for over 100+ since last October and is no longer a home run threat at all. I like Zeke and he was a great player when he started for us but it's time to move on.

Getting out of his contract is one of my top priorities moving forward b/c it's arguably one of the worst in football.

Zeke does not have that short area speed anymore but once he gets going he has top end speed but he has not had a lot of open areas to build his speed.

I was talking about the NFL's career rushing leaders, not the Cowboys. Zeke passed Chris Warren for 55th place.
I get it. Misread it the first time. Tossed up the Cowboys for those that may be interested.

He found some new spin moves too, it seems.

Gotta be careful using the spin moves in traffic. It exposes the ball at times and can lead to fumbles. But against a single defender it's a great tool. I used it all the time.. The look on the defender's face after he hunkered down for a collision and was left standing there with an arm full of air was priceless. I wish we had better video back in the day. I could watch some of those runs all day! LOL! That black and white coaches tape from 40 years ago just doesn't hold up well..

I am responding to the idiot stating that Zeke has been horrible since 2017.. by pointing out that Zeke continued to be among the league leaders two years AFTER 2017. And didn't stop being among the league leaders until we handed the keys to the offense to Wonder Boy. You're mad because you don't like his paycheck.. That's YOUR problem.. I have no issue with it.. My problem is with the idiot that is giving a back you're paying 16 million bucks a year the ball 12-13 times a game. It's fine if you wanna play this style.. but if you do .. then don't sign your running back to a 90 million dollar deal. Thank him for 3 amazing years and let him walk. I'm not banging on Zeke because the front office and coaching staff did something stupid.

I mentioned him being force fed. Lack of reading comprehension by Ronnie continues - Zeke was nowhere near the level he was in 2016 in 2018, he was just fed the ball a ton. Want to show me the amount of big plays he had in 2018? Compare them to the rest of the top RBs that year.

Why? Zeke WAS the top running back that year.. You need to prove these other "top RBs" were better. You pulling out some arbitrary metric "number of big plays" is idiotic. Big plays are the ones that help you win games.. not necessarily the longest. If you don't understand that, then there is not really much more for us to discuss. Zeke's 4.7 ypc that year was 3rd among backs who had at least 250 carries .. trailing only Barkley (5.0) and Gurley (4.9.) His 84 first downs was tops in the league by 9 more than Gurley who was 2nd with 75. Maybe the reason they force fed him was because he produced. Barkley had a long run of 78 yards that year.. His team was 5-11. Adrian Peterson had a long of 90. His team was 7-9. For all this crowing about long runs and big plays it's the guys who converted a ton of first downs who helped their teams get to the playoffs. Henry had a 99 yard run for the 9-7 Titans who missed the playoffs.. Chubb had a 92 yarder.. which helped the Browns go 7-8-1 .. and miss the playoffs..

The only guy with a long run of 70+ yards whose team made the playoffs in 2018 was Lamar Miller who had a 97 yarder for the Texans.. who went 11-5. For the rest, all these great long runs had them sitting at home watching their highlight reel while Zeke and Gurley were battling in the playoffs. Yet day after day you people keep coming here telling us how important long runs are.. Long runs are the sprinkles on top of the whipped cream on top of the sundae. They're nice.. but they're far from necessary. The sundae is plenty good without them.

He is not underrated. He's averaging 4.1 ypc and under 65 yards a game. That is not a diss. Those are facts. Thats what he is now, not the super star RB he was the first 3-4 seasons.

Zeke was the top RB that year BECAUSE HE HAD LITERALLY 40+ more carries than the RB behind him that year. Barkley was at 261, that was the second RB in attempts.

His longest run that season was a whopping 38 yards. Stop posting stupid crap.
