Prescott is next up if he does not improve his game next year
On a serious note, a pin should be stuck in this opinion until this time next year. I will not say it is impossible but it would be an atypical move for Jerry Jones during his (now) 34-year stranglehold on the general managership. Very atypical.

Jones was 100% supportive of his new quarterback in November 2016. I have followed the man from day one and doubt his loyalty has dropped below 90% since then. Some far more significant must happen over the next year for him to seriously consider other options. 'More significant' meaning anything that has not occurred over the past seven years, including his perception of Prescott's performance each of those seasons.

It's a shame his running game declined over the years, but as a player, he definitely matured a lot while here.

I won't be shocked if he resigns with the Cowboys though after testing the free agent market.
After playing through a partially torn posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, Elliott missed two games in 2022 after suffering a hyperextension of the same knee. The running back termed the injury torn medial collateral ligament.

Wasn't Stephen Jones in the news not so long ago talking about how he didn't think Zeke's performance was tailing off and the platoon system was working quite well? He was selling us fool's gold. Mr. Pyrite!

The worst contract extension in Cowboys history. Jerry and son should have fired themselves for making this deal and forcing the coaches top play Zeke the last two seasons. The man was done in 2020.

Best decision of the off-season so far. No disrespect to Zeke. Just no way to justify keeping him.
