Is there like any chance this ends up being a good year? Not happening.

When have we ever had back to back years of good? 2006-2007 maybe? Seemingly any time we are prime for a breakout year after a playoff appearance, the next year is disaster. After 2007, we started off hot in 2008. 4-0 or something. Then Romo gets hurt and we fall apart. 2010, the season after our first playoff win in over a decade, drafting Dez and Sean Lee and looking prime to make a big return, start off like 1-7, Romo done for the year and Wade fired. 2011-2013 were all 8-8 and last game losses to knock us out.

2015, ready to avenge the Packers playoff loss and the big controversy catch or no catch. Win at the last second opening night. And then Romo goes down and that is the last we ever saw from him essentially. Worst record we've had since 1-15 maybe?

It seems our best seasons come off the heels of average or bad seasons. The next year after a solid playoff appearance is never good.

I said this in another thread, but I'll say it again.

Zeke will get suspended for one game, he'll go with the Brady approach and appeal it up to the appellate courts, which might take a year or more. In the meantime, he can play while it's under appeal and we play him until week 17 when we have home field advantage, then Zeke drops th appeal and sits out the week 17 game that we wouldn't have played in anyway. #winning

I think he'll be suspended. If Brady got four games, that's what Zeke should expect. The NFL drug this out intentionally. They always wanted him suspended. By waiting they were able to see him make mistakes unrelated to the original charge. This will help them in the court of public opinion.

Sometimes Jerry's unbridled optimism stands in the way. I wonder if taking a more proactive stance against the NFL would've been a better strategy?

we can survive a suspension if they appeal it and avoid it for the early games,we cannot win without zeke in the first 3 games..
