Which is exactly why I'm glad it's happening. I'm already boycotting the NFL for this type of imbecilic ***holery actions. They are losing viewership and money and it's a product of their own actions.

Let the destruction continue as long as possible.
So you're not watching Cowboys games?

From the PCP ...

"With regard to violations of the Personal Conduct Policy that involve: (i) criminal assault or battery (felony); (ii) domestic violence, dating violence, child abuse and other forms of family violence; or (iii) sexual assault involving physical force or committed against someone incapable of giving consent, a first offense will subject the offender to a baseline suspension without pay of six games, with consideration given to any aggravating or mitigating factors." There is no distinction between regular season and post season games in the policy. I understand the discipline letter is more specific but I suspect the NFL would argue the policy supersedes the letter.

So what is your point?

That's not how it works in a court of law. The court will almost always defer to the more specific language. If the original document handed down from the league office states "6 regular season games", there is no way they can force him to miss playoff games. I doesn't matter what their official policy is. They handed down a specific punishment and if it goes to court, they will be held to that specific language. You know Zeke will sue and get an injunction allowing him to play in the playoffs.

Players don't get their regular pay during the playoffs..... so you could argue that the rule doesn't apply

The policy talks about each game counting as 1/17th of their base salary..... nothing about adjusting for playoffs

Zeke would lose MORE money in 2018 so the NFL should be happy about that...... his base is 1.5m this year and 2.7m next year

Goodell he can wipe his Mara with that, we know what he wrote in his letter to Zeke, just another blunder on his part!

This never ending process continues.... I also like his chance to get a permanent injunction by the same panel, however there isn't a rat's chance in hell they win in Failla's court when the actual hearing starts. (EDIT: I mean the actual hearing down the road, not the hearing for the injunction. Apologies for my poor wording)

His lawyers should, and probably will, ask her to recuse herself from that. They have nothing to lose, but I would be surprised if she did.

But would that request and refusal give them an appeals possibility when she rules against Zeke?

To add to this, the specific language of "regular season games" is not inconsistent with the language of the PCP.

Yeah right. If a player on a different team got suspended 6 games and suddenly got to come back for the playoffs against the cowboys, I would be furious. That makes zero sense whatsoever.

If he has not done it by now, he is not going to do it.

It amazes me that people still believe Jones is fuming and is going to do something about it.
Did you miss the story regarding Jerry interfering with Goodell's extension talks?

The extension will likely get done regardless, but Jerry has been going after Roger's compensation. Jerry may not be powerful enough to get Roger ousted altogether, but he IS hitting Roger directly where it can hurt him: his wallet.

I doubt that that has NOTHING to do with the Zeke case.
