Zeke needs 63 yards for a 1000 yd season

Which was a mistake IMO. Both years Zeke led the league in rushing the Cowboys were in the playoffs.

While there's some truth to that.....I think from watching this team the offense becomes stagnant now because the offensive line isn't nearly as good as it was 4 years ago. I think if they were able to get 5 yards a carry like they could back then I Think we would be a run first team.

All you have to do is look at our RB history. Not sure if we differ form other NFL teams. But our #2's look completely AWESOME! Sometimes obscenely so.

Until they get to #1...um for more than a couple games. We've had like 3 RB's in 25 years that can carry the load from season to season to season. The rest? flaked or flamed.

Oh boy...it started with the great Troy Hambrick....Troy Hambrick walked so Felix Jones, Marion Barber, Demarcus Murray and Joseph Randle could run lol.

Then how about we use 2-3 backs, give them fewer carries, and they have higher YPC? That's surely better than an inefficient bell cow, right? Hell, use 10 backs for all I care if lower carries = higher YPC.
Marion Barber, Felix Jones and Tashard Choice would like to have a word with you

So why is Dalvin Cook getting so many carries even though Jefferson and Thielen are getting targets?
I didn’t say it happened with every player but as a general rule. Do you really want to argue this? There are different style of offenses as well, whether a team is playing from behind more than playing ahead, etc.

Other players have gone though crap too. Philly's line has been a dumpster fire. Their receiving talent has been a joke. Their QB has played horribly. Their leading rusher...164 carries, 867 yards, 6 TD, 5.3 ypc. That's Miles Sanders. At some point, the excuses have to stop and the finger has to be pointed at Zeke to overcome some of these reasons.

These aren't excuses these are explanations.....and contrary to popular belief.......Eagles do a good job of run blocking.

Team Run Block Win Rate

2. Philadelphia Eagles, 73%

Miles Sanders is another one of these guys....not a lead back but a great back.

I'm not making excuses for him like I Stated above I Think he's performed decently for what he's been through this year. You name em someone who's been through more and I'll concede it but the best name you gave is Miles Sanders who has a higher YPC but doesn't have more carries or yards than him.

You put far too much stock into YPC. So you are saying you'd rather have 10 subpar running backs than Derrick Henry just as long as they average 5.5 yards a carry lol.

Good God dude.

Its amazing the level people will stoop to discredit their own players but hype up someone they don't even watch play....lol.

If we fix the offensive line and get an OC that will actually commit to the running game, I think we would be an elite running team again.

2008: Barber 3.7 ypc, Choice 5.1 ypc, Jones 8.9 ypc.
2009: Barber 4.4 ypc, Jone 5.9 ypc, Choice 5.5 ypc.
2010: Jones 4.3 ypc, Barber 3.3 ypc, Choice, 3.7 ypc.

Leading rushers listed first in each year.

The smash, slash and dash experiment worked out great.

We’ll, let’s see. If you are going to rushed the ball 20 times would you rather have 80 yards or 100 yards? That is the difference between 4 ypc and 5 ypc.

And you talk about the level I am stooping to discredit Zeke. Call it whatever your heart desires but Zeke fans have extremely low expectations for the dude yet have a very high perception of the dude. I just wish he was nearly as good as his biggest fans think he is.

Same as the Zeke experiment though. Both have failed yet people think when Zeke is inefficient it is Ok.
I can agree with Zeke not being as efficient as he should be. I just think having a consistent starter at RB is better for the offense(even if the offense/Zeke hasn’t been all that consistent)

Saw the post about Moore maybe interested in going back to college next year.

Good riddance.

behind this offensive line, that is pretty good, just like dalton, both did pretty good.
