That was a surprise.....he hadn't shown that for a while....only thing I can think of if Evans is a big man and he was intimidated by his size

If your position is RB and you're not productive in yardage anymore then whatever purpose you supposedly serve means nothing.

I don't care if you're a good locker room guy or Dak's BFF.

Im not sure man, every play we ran him at netted 1yd or worse. We really cant be wasting plays like that against the 49ers.
Pollard deals with the same poor run blocking yet can make the key misses to get yardage.
Id honestly just throw zeke at fullback for pollard, be the moose.

Whether you want to #@^$ can Zeke or not...that has to happen. Tony spends too much time running to the edge instead of churning yards up the field.

I call zeke the infrastructure player. Dak and Tony's success are in no small part driven by Zeke. You wont; see it so much in his stats.

When Zeke is gone...we will see. When defenses key on a 25 carry Tony?...we will see. He's never done it before.

13 carries, 27 yards, 2.1yd/carry
bout as even split you can get and the results are interesting, you cant tell me defenses are getting worn out stopping a dude in the backfield or 1yd down

for the whole season 5.2 vs 3.8 yds/carry
20+ yd plays, 18 vs 5

When zeke was out pollard got 9.4 yds/carry against the bears, and 5.2 vs the packers, though tbf he had less than 15 carries each of those games, seems like hes churning up yards to me.

I dont hate Zeke or anything, but right now pollard should be RB #1 and zeke should get far less carries and/or be the lead blocker for pollard and still use his punishing play style. If our run block scheme sucks, its just not gonna get better all the sudden, so we should use the RB we have that can make do with that the best he can.

Your facts are off here. Pollard had 22 carries against Green Bay. And both the Bears and Packers were horrible against the run all year. There is no arguing that Pollard is getting more done with his totes at the stage. Zeke looks worn down from slamming it up the middle all season. And I still think that knee must be still acting up for him to still be wearing that brace. It is what it is.... The formula and approach doesn't need to change. But to your first point.. Yes defenses get worn down from short inside runs. Not just from tackling Zeke but also from having to fight mano-a-mano with the big uglies over and over. I always go back to the boxing analogy. Those runs are body blows. Pollard's runs are the head shots. It works.. And as always.. if one of them really gets rolling then keep feeding him until they stop it.
