I do back ground checks. But I never once did a check on any social media. I could care less what they say on social media. I care if they are a good dependable employee. I don't care if they are sex addicts, swingers or talk crap about me on social media. If I treat them right I don't have to worry about that anyways. I think the best lesson here for him or any pro athlete is have fun but go home EVERY night.
Heck I think about myself at 21 and boy would the media tear me apart. But I guess I'm not a pro athlete it doesn't matter to anybody

In regards to hiring and firing, I don't like it, but it happens. LinkedIn just was purchased I believe by Microsoft for billions. Social media is a huge tool now for employment and personal interaction. Employers don't want representatives of their companies bringing negative publicity on them. And you are right, I would not want any one looking at my life at 21; LOL, I got problems now at 44, but so does everyone else. With social media, "as reported first" news cycles, and the litigious nature of our society, he has to be careful. He is now a more public figure than ever. Branding, endorsements, etc and most importantly, reputation, are at stake. Maybe not fair, but it is what it is.

This is just a money grab on her part, IMO, because he wanted to dump her or had already done so.

Zeke says he saved text messages which proves she set him up. If he does have them, that was a smart move on his part to keep them.

Did anyone notice that this story broke on Zeke's birthday? Coincidence? I think not.

There's a big difference between Columbus Community College and Ohio State University.

These days, there is a huge disparity in schools. Most are now just political hangout facilities that teach absolutely nothing useful.

Political hangout facilities?

That's just anti intellectual bs.

I work at a university. I've had maybe one conversation about politics in the past year. Yet about 500 conversations about how to analyze data, improve writing, explain complex analyses to non-experts, and use various widely used software packages.

That's what actually goes on. Very different from your fantasy.

Just to chime in on this subject. More and more companies are reviewing potential candidates social media as does my firm. We do not put a lot of weight on it (actually it is pretty minuscule), but we use it as a part of the whole evolution process to help us determine if a person is a good fit for us. One of the major factors that we weigh is their age. We all were young and dumb a time ago.

I wouldn't doubt that some departments at the Universities are inherently free from political taint because of the subject matter, but a global statement like the one you just posted just doesn't reflect reality. I've attended several colleges and taught as well, and that wasn't my experience. Roll in the preponderance of evidence shown daily in the news and you've got a hotbed of political activism and indoctrination.

I didn't even mean to get into this discussion. I really do feel sorry for these young athletes. The media in all forms is forcing these guys to grow up NOW! Im from Wisconsin and my Grandpa has ties to Brett Favre so I Know many things Favre has done early in his career that would force him to be suspended from the NFL many times. But the media in the early 90s is not what it is today so they never became major news stories! Just imagine all this social media around aroun in the 50s and 60s!

Very few modern faculty talk politics in class. That's because we respect diversity - even among those whose opinions we think are crap. Classes are about the course material. We recognize students aren't going into debt so that they can hear our opinions about topics where we have no expertise.

People hold some crazy idea about college that stems from the Vietnam era. Guess what folks. All those people are retired or dead.

Yeah, doing it on his birthday shows a child-like thought process on her part. Very immature frame of mind, IMO.

I have a friend who is a stripper and an ex who now does cam shows. Both of them are sensible and intelligent and extremely polite people, and my ex is one of the few past girlfriends I keep in contact with. They also both, from what they tell me, enjoy what they do. I think some of you have the very Hollywood-like look at strippers, stripper = red flag. Again, it's time to stop blaming Zeke for the actions of another human being. I also don't fault him for going out and staying out late on his birthday as long as he was staying away from drugs and bad neighborhoods. Remove his ex going crazy, and I doubt anyone would be criticizing anything Zeke did. Luckily, Zeke had enough sense to keep the texts she sent (I advise everyone to back up texts somewhere with the vindictive people in this world)

I completely agree with everything Matt. I've dated strippers in the past and they were the most fun girls I've ever been around. They were hot, carefree and non-judgemental and the first few weeks were great - and then the crazy ex-Marine, ex-boyfriend knocks on the door one night...and it happened more than once. It's always the exes.

I'm in school now. Politics is a huge part of it. It filters into pretty much every aspect of the education with very few exceptions.

Young people are inherently more liberal than old people.

Just like old people are inherently more conservative than young people.

Nothing to see here. Other than history repeating itself over and over.

So does answering "sex slave" on the Police Report...she obviously feels used because he pays the rent and for her car and all she gets is the booty calls.....the same exact thing happened with Hardy

From what I read....they dated for awhile they both paid the rent for the girl.....they both saw signs of crazy and tried to break-up...but neither made a clean break and kept coming back at night but wouldn't call her the girlfriend any more....no one deserves to be accused of a crime they didn't commit but they both know they should have made a clean break....

That is what Hardy was talking about when he said he did wrong but never hit her.....he knows the booty calls just led her on and were big mistakes......he had seen glimpses of the dark side but still hooked up with her...people are real quick to believe Elliott but not Hardy even though his witnesses and the 911 call both back his story and all the charges were dropped.....both girls had bruises but they are easy to make and easy to fake and don't tell the whole story without context and cross-examination....EE was smart enough to keep texts but that should have been a huge red flag
