I have to be honest. I have been warming up to Bosa. I have come to realize that I just don't like the guy, not the player. Sometimes, you might not like a player's personality but that doesn't mean he is not a good prospect
I'd prefer Zeke. But when you can get Perkins, Booker, Williams, Dixon, or Howard later on, he just doesn't make sense.
After Bosa, Dodd, Lawson, Ogbah and Spence, options are pretty limited. One of those guys may be there at 34, but you would have to take a DE there because they are all gone afterwards
I don't put any stock in Zierlein here, but I'd be ok with Bosa, too. He's a good player at a position of need and would be a safe picks for us. Hard to knock it too much.
I also think he ends up being a pretty dang good player in a rotation for a long time. The kind of guy who can get his own pressure and also help other players out along the DL. Don't know what the Marinelli reports might indicate, but I think we could do a lot worse in a draft with a lot of uncertainty in the top 5 picks.
I thought it was odd Zierlein was recently saying Bosa was dropping out of the top 5 and Marinelli/ Lett do not like the player when Marinelli and Lett are working him out privately in Ohio and he is visiting us in Dallas.
Magically, we like him again, these guys are full of it!
Teams are too good at spreading misinformation, and it's too easy to do. You really can't take any of it too seriously. You just have to look at it and see who's likely to be there for us at 4 and what positions have needs. It's QB, DE, and DB, and there's one DB, one DE, and two QBs worthy of consideration. If Tunsil goes ahead of us, or SD does something unexpected, we'll have a choice. Otherwise, we'll just take the one that's left.
Or Zeke. I didn't forget Zeke you guys. But, seriously, it won't be Zeke.
Never say never with old Jerrah.
I think if the top 2 QB's are gone and there is no trade down opportunities, you are looking at Ramsey assuming the Chargers do not take him and Bosa.
I love Zeke but I am unsure they will pull the trigger for him at 4 but I have learned to never say never with Jerry and company.
Word is the offensive coaches absolutely love him and will pound the table for him on draft day!
Never say never, true.
If we were picking just a few spots lower, I'd say it would be a much bigger possibility (but still a long shot). As it is, we're guaranteed a QB or the best player on the board at one of two positions of huge defensive need. In a deep RB draft.
