Zim is a DC coaching a defense that he has never coached before because the head coach mandated it.

Isn't this BP's defense? Shouldn't he have showed him some of these "aggressive" defensive schemes?

You are fooling yourself if you think BP just said "Learn and implement the 3-4" and kept his fingers off it.

Remember the "zero" blitz? How is that anything but aggressive? Let's send both our safeties on the blitz and leave our corners in man coverage without deep help. Thats so wussy.

If Mike Zimmer was the Steelers DC the Steelers woulda lost big today. Manning woulda been good for at least 400 yards and 5 TDs.


I look at how the Steelers DC had a game plan for the Colts and pressured Manning all day and I just shake my head wonderin *** this team is doin wastin time with that moron Zimmer. Fire him now and just get Capers here.

I never said he could do no wrong. I just don't think he is the buffoon that people like to make him out to be. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see Zim being the HC after BP leaves.

Seein that you think Zimmer is the greatest DC the NFL has ever seen. Nothing will ever make you figure it out.


If we had a HOFer at every position on defense and still got the same no pressure and sacks on QBs you would say how guys like Randy White and Ray Lewis suck while sayin Mike Zimmer is the greatest ever.

Yes it is amazing.....why our D can't put together a few blitz packages that work. It just boggles my old brain cells.

Zimmer can't do it, we really need to make a change. we dont have anything creative, its the most basic defense ever, and we should have a lot more turnovers if we had blitz packages like pittsburgh.

I like the Zimmer lovers saying that 3-4 isnt his defense. I agree What is? The 4-3 the Nickle because every scheme is the same.

And the zero blitz yes its aggressive but we use it to get pressure our the QB because the front 4 with the paly run first then pass scheme cant get pressure on the QB. So lets Blitz both safties watch the offense pick up the Blitz and leave our 2 CB with no help.
Thats the Zim defense I love to see.

For those of you that watched the Steelers game and will watch the Bears game-Can you see the difference in those 2 defense compared too Dallas?

These defenses are aggresive and cause turnovers unlike Zimmers defense



Maybe you should look at the Carolina-Bears game and see how Steve Smith just about beat the Bears by him self before you start wishing Zimmer was gone

Get Capers...he was the original Blitzburgh DC.

Parcells wont do that because it would be a threat to him...Someone might know how to run the 3-4 besides him.

I will give him 2 more years in the 3-4 if he would have given us 9 years in a 4-3 that got me excited. And dont give me the #1 defense that we had. The defense is ranked by yards not turn overs. Talk to me when we lead the NFL in INT or sacks then I will praise Zim.

Just for the record I defended Zim when he was offered the job the Nebraska job. I said he was a good DC. I have now seen the light. I watched more games of other teams the last 2 years and now I am blaming Zim for the scheme.

Jerry has brought him talent, we have drafted talent and our players we dont bring back seem to do better in other schemes. Omar Stoutmire(Sp) not saying he was an all pro but he played better in a different scheme. With the Giants he was nasty.


The big difference I see in other defenses is when they have someone go down they plug in another body. Our scheme we get hurt because we rely on the players talent not the scheme.

ALso if Zim is the DC next year I will still Cheer for Zim and the Boys but if Zim leaves I will not shed 1 tear. I instead will drink a beer!

How many times did you say Joe Smow beat us because we didnt make the guy feel uncomfortable in the pocket. See New Orleans game when some smuck made our defense look like crap. We looked like we were playing against Young or Elway that game.
