Zimm's emotional press conference

The main thing I take away from this is that we are a circus. Whether it was Jerrys way, Micah's way, Quinns old way, doesn't matter, it shouldn't have been any way other than Zimmers way. Sounds like it wasn't his choice. Jerry deserves the season he got. We the fans, do not deserve this crap

You have McCarthy on the brain.

No way was he telling Zimmer how to run his defense any more than he told Quinn how to run his. He's an offensive coach.
Agenda much?
What do Head Coach mean?

Parcells didn't tell his offensive coordinator what he wanted?
Jimmy Johnson didn't tell his coordinators what he wanted?

Just thought of this.......Jerry was just praising the hell out of Zimm last week. Calling him one of the DCs in the league but now we hear Zimm saying he's not wanted. The only I can think of is Jerry may wanna move to the 3-4......something many been saying would be better for Parsons

Silly Eagles' fan believes offensive coordinators don't study and know defenses, and defensive coordinators don't study and know offenses.

This press conference seems more indicative of knowing that if MM stays, he won’t be back. If MM comes back, it’s probably under the circumstance that he gets his 3-4 defense that he’s always wanted. Just guessing here but zimmer and MM have two different philosophies when it comes to defense and it’s been discussed.

Sorry about his fam for sure. But, why didn’t he do things “his” way from the get go. Wasn’t he the frikkin coordinator??

I wonder who was in his ear MM or Jerry? I have to think it's Jerry and MM would deffer more so.

so they hired zimm and basically told him to run a variation of Quinns defense because they were sooo succesful with that defense

Instead of just firing McCarthy and making Quinn the headcoach

Is he implying he was held back from doing things his way? Also, it seems he wanna return but he's not getting positive feedback from Jerry
I was going to ask what he meant by doing things "his way." I mean if you're being hired as a DC, and you're not allowed to run the D the way you want, why would you even consider the job? I'll be curious to see if the media follows up on this.

A lot to take away from the last presser of the season from Cowboys DC Mike Zimmer:

- Walked off the podium holding back tears explaining why his son, Adam, who passed in 2022 was a big reason why he came back this season

- Said he had “no feelings, really” around his contract status

- Said “someone has to want you” in order for him to return in 2025

- Wished he had done things his way earlier in the season and calls it his biggest regret of the year

Yep! He's gone.
