The fact that he's ANOTHER slow possession reciever and brings zero contribution to the return game or coverage unit.

Other than that, ya. Great use of a 2nd rounder.

We don't have a reliable WR outside of Austin brining in a KR would be nice but have a good WR is a lot better. Just draft some random late round to return kicks someone like AJ jefferson. I'm pretty sure he ran faster than ya boy Gilyard *shrugs*. Whatever though.

Great draft strategy you got there man.

I can only imagine you in the draft room.

"Yeah! grab him, he looks like he can return kicks, whatever he's random"

EPIC FAIL.

You don't want just anybody back there - you probably want someone that a) has done it before and b) doesn't fumble.

My 7th round pick would be good at that ...... IMNHO.

But I believe we already have guys who can do that on the team.

I do not want to spend a 2nd round pick on just a kick returner. For one I think we have guys who can do it already on the team.

no we dont, in fact, wade plans to no longer use felix jones on kickoffs

and only other player we had that was very good was miles austin

you almost have to have a punt/kickoff ret urner like the bears did with hester

then they got manning and johnny knox

i do agree with you that holliday will help with your 7th round pick though

Ya see ..... I like Crayton on Punt Returns.

And I think its a mistake not to use Felix on kick returns.

But we still have Ogletree and maybe even the reality star to do kickoffs.

Either way ..... I look for specialist in the later rounds ..... and starters in the early ones.

Overall I like it. Neal is someone I really like. Has a good motor and seems to have some football heart, which can't be measured. The only pick I question is Lafell in the 2nd round. Unless we take Bryant in the 1st I can't see us going WR early. The exception to me would be a guy who is a dedicated return man like McCluster or Ford.

Not sure what I think about Wang. I still think we need OG more than OT, but that changes if we release Flo and start Free, so who knows.

Love Holiday in the 7th. Pure speed is always fun and he has that in buckets.

Thanks man ..... I will admit that LaFell is a pet cat. I just think he is gonna be successful and do not want to regret not taking him.

I honestly dont like it. Wang is awful. Brandon Carter is a hot mess. You just didnt get us any serious OL talent imo

Plz do some research before you even type your post loL. Better yet keep doubting. You're 100 years to early to try to argue the draft with me.

Statistically speaking, Crayton had one of the highest PR averages in the league. Felix had one of the lower KR averages, so, if Wade does relieve him of those duties, it shouldn't be too difficult getting similar production from someone already on the roster. I agree with you that a returner doesn't warrant a 2nd round draft choice.

I never said it was a bad idea for a pick, but your original post suggested that we could just draft "whoever" at "random" in the 7th round and just throw them back there and find instant success.

Please remember what you post before you challenge our posts. You're the same guy that tried to lambast me for not jumping on Hamlin for holding out in spring/summer 2008 when I wasn't even on this board yet. Research? Lulz.

Damnit Slate. I had expectations. Hopes.

You crushed them. I hope you can sleep tonight.

Okay this is just a shot in the dark.

Maybe because he's so far ahead of me in knowledge? Like 100 years worth of knowledge?

Then you should feel really insulted because when you look at a chandelier, he is not the brightest bulb in it.
