So Dallas should be just as stupid as other teams? Being stupid just because other people are stupid will not lead to a bright future.

You just said you never saw it so I'm showing you instances it happened.

I think you're connecting the wrong dots.

Common denominators of SB winning teams include either an exceptional Offense or Defense. Whichever is better still needs the other side to be better than just average.
Allow me to connect the dots better..

All of this debate about Dak is not lost on any of us.

I would much rather have preferred Dak clearly won more in crucial games.

His wins to get in the playoffs in 2016 were the bottom line most of us judge him with.

In 2018 he nearly had it going except the Rams ended his plans.

2018 followed by 3019 in which Dallas was a prohibited fav after beating Seattle in the playoffs proved Daks undoing.

When the pressure increases, you can not fail and say woulda coulda shoulda.

In times of war, when the leadership fails to meet an objective, they do not extend his contract to lead. He gets quietly replaced and put out to pasture as they say.

Dak has really had good teams around him to win with. We have now burnt 4 years of Zeke propping up Dak..not to mention Beard, Witten, Dez, Jones and others.

At what point do say enough is enough?

I am a student of the WW2. Back in 1044..

the Allies were getting ready for D-day. Hitler had decided he wanted to attack the Western Allies with what became the Battle of the Bulge.

Despite Hitler's wishes, the General's wanted to make piece with the Western Allies to then join forces against Russia.

Offers were extended and the Allies said no.

Hitler then moved his forces secretly from the Eastern front against Russia and attack the Allies in the West.

What does that mean here?

It means when leadership fails to get it done, no matter the reasons why..heads have to roll.

Garrett's was the first to roll. Dak will be next.

Like it or not like it..that is what is happening.

No excuses now for Dak. If it turns out he wants to play he will probably do it for less. And if the team was wise..

They will draft a QB incase Dak's mouth is writing a check it can't cash.

Amen.

Man I sure hope so! I just can't believe this is about length of contract.. Whenever someone says it isn't about the money thats BS. It is about the money.
The years is the money.

The team is bending but they need Dak to meet them half way.

Dak and friends want it all.

Does not work that way.

You better believe the other owners are backing Jerrah.

If not, this circus comes to their teams soon.

My reasoning is this , I would not pay for a new car with tomorrow’s prices. I don’t buy a car and overpay based on the long vacation that I may use that car for. I am buying the car at it’s current value. Why are fans wanting to pay Dak for production that may never happen instead of paying him for being the player that he has shown himself to be? I could list tons of reasons why Dak doesn’t deserve top ten pay, and surely doesn’t to be the highest paid player in the history of the NFL.
This has nothing to do with how player market value works.

Heart + Work ethic + Inherent ability = Elite

Dak cannot throw an accurate ball. All the heart and work ethic can never make up for that.

You have to face facts.

And modern day fans also makes excuses for every player on the team because they are Cowboys and good fans supports their team no matter what, it at least that is the way they see it. By the way , I have a very happy life and being a fan of this team for 50 years has no effect on my life outside of this board. Yes, people accept reality. They accept 25 years of losing and they accept how the modern players have tarnished the team’s legacy . They accept mediocrity and make excuses why it is okay in today’s modern era. At one time, the Cowboys were the class of the NFL and not only was competing for Super Bowls expected, it was demanded by fans. The Cowboys was equivalent to the modern day Patriots, but without the cheating scandals.

And how are you “not accepting mediocrity”, aside from being condescendingly judgemental and/or rude? Are you switching teams? Buying controlling interest so you can run the team the “correct” way? Or have you found a noble way to resist the toxic influence of societal change? Please, enlighten us mediocre, excuse-laden cretins. If being a fan of this team has no affect on your life outside this board, why do you act like you have big money invested, or like you’re a disgruntled employee?

I’ve been a fan 50 years also, and not a day goes by that I don’t lament the good old days. But I’m also able to accept that it’s just a game, society HAS changed, and there’s nothing that any of us can do about it.

One last thing.. Reminder for the Dak haters:

Last year: Dallas was only 172yds (Cobb) from having (3) 1000yd WRs
RBs combined for 69Rec;TEs 95Rec

All the while, our star RB had a “down season”
Zeke 301c-1357yds-12Td

Dak IS a franchise QB. Opinions vary on taste, but stats don’t lie.

Fact:W/L record last year is on the coaching, not Dak
And didn't beat a single winning team and played like crap on a stick in the most important game of the season in Philly

Stats are stupid.

You can't have any.

Comes especially from a little headshop in Boulder, Colorado called Nasty Salley's Emporium.

You should try. $400 for 10 grams. And a bargain at that price.
I can get you a pound during harvest in California for that price.

I find the dak threads very interesting. He's become a very polarizing figure of late. Penile shaped water guns. Pit bull bites. Exorbitant salary demands. And the recently ill advised party.
I think Dak has a street boy mentality he has been hiding from us.

Not much surprises me. If Dak ever leaves..

he is in for a huge wakeup call..

Playing Dallas he told us was a dream come true.

This is how he thanks us all?

Kiss his butt and just pay me.

What a treasure.

Exactly. Length of contract IS about the money, more money, and still more money. Length of contract is about stuffing your pocket now by mortgaging the teams future.

If you do some reading there’s a lot of fans here who don’t think he is a good QB.

That's true, but there are extremes to everything. Dak is still a good QB. He's not the best QB in the NFL, but he's still a good QB.

NFL teams look at every player in the risk vs. reward basis. IF Dak performs better, you've locked him in at a great price now. Of course if he does not you've hamstrung yourself in the future.

It's up to Jerry/Stephen to decide...

You are being too literal. No one genuinely believes that only length of contract matters or the Cowboys could get the deal done for a four year veteran minimum salary.

Put into context, the subject is about Dak wanting to double dip with a short contract. He wants as much as he can grab now, but he also wants to find his way back to the cookie jar as soon as possible. When I was a kid and wanted a cookie Mom always told me to take just one. Dak's trying to reach into the cookie jar with both hands to grab all he can get.
The problem arises when one's greed exceeds one's skill.
Dak's a good QB, but he doesn't deserve the whole cookie jar.
