What if we don’t have a season, and we have to pay Dak. We could just redshirt Tua let him get healthy and go into next year.

Tua is the move we should be going all in on but we are too smart of a franchise to do that.

If we were the Chiefs we would’ve stayed with Alex Smith because we had a functional NFL QB. No need for drafting Mahomes.. We hate risks around here. Pay the man.

The Patriots are BETTER in two ways. 1. More cap space. 2. More athleticism at the QB position.

Tom Brady is not in Dallas, your dream is only a pipe dream. If Dallas wanted Brady they would have Brady. We did not want Brady.

It IS possible though that Dak overplays his hand enough that Dallas pulls the trigger on a guy like Hurts though. That would put some pressure on Dak to decide if he wants to be the Cowboys QB or not.

Pats are moving on. They have no choice really, regardless of if it was Tom who wanted to move on or if it was Belichick.

Well, we don't know what's true and what's not all the time but we know that Kraft did say that if Tom wanted to stay in New England, the team would have figured out how to make it happen. It doesn't sound like Brady really wanted to stay in New England to me.

The rift between Brady and The Hoodie seems to be an undercurrent. Do I think Brady wanted out, probably.

If the Hoodie thought Brady could still play don’t you think he could have managed the situation that way if he wanted to? He managed the situation in such a way that he left town.

You guys may not see it that way, but The Hoodie was ready to move on from Brady a year or two ago and the team should have left The Hoodie alone and let him do his thing.

Just another thread designed to bash Dak. Brady and Gronk will be around for a year or two. Once Brady retires Gronk is going off into the sunset with him. It could be a one and done for both of them in Tampa. The excitement they’re feeling in Tampa will be short-lived because they’ll be having to replace both players in no time. 2020 will be Super Bowl or bust for the Buccaneers. I would rather be building a future with a QB than looking forward to one or two seasons with them. I would rather have a young QB that’s improving than what’s left of an old one.

Gronk dropped 60lbs - hasn't played in a year and cant stay healthy - NE robbed Tampa getting a 4th

and for the record I rather have Dak at this point of their careers. Brady was not good last year

Trading up for Tua would not be a smart move. He may not be worth #17 for various reasons.

He’ll hop back on the HGH and be ready to go by August.

See, that’s where we disagree. They had a choice. The Hoodie didn’t have the ability to force Tom out, but he had the ability to work on Tom’s ego to get him to want to leave.

The Hoodie is the one secretly smiling over this. He wanted Brady home a year or two ago. And he got his wish.

I know.. It’s too risky.. Gotta be smart and pay Dak vs taking a bit of a risk and landing what would’ve likely been the first pick in the draft and one of the more prolific passers that’s come out of college.

Gotta be safe.. Dak doesn’t get hurt ya know. All of his availability has us 1 playoff win in 4 years.

Your last section is posting out of hopes again. Pretty sure Dak's not going to "overplay" his hand any more than the week's-old status quo at this point between today and tomorrow. Dak has even more leverage than Zeke did so things are going to go down in ways that will ruffle the feathers of the money-deniers. Then Dak, who was the hero during Zeke's negotiations, will become hated just like Zeke even though he "waited his turn" like those fans trumped about him then. Lol.

a 70 year Brady has better chance of winning anything compared to the loser we have at QB.

Right now, today, Bucs. They have a settled QB situation and we don't. In a season where you are not likely to see as much time to prepare for the season, that will be key IMO.
W/ an old QB who's been steadily regressing, I really can't call their situation settled. Especially since they'll either have to implement an entirely new O concept to keep Brady upright.

Yeah, even though I find it frustrating, this is simply the new NFL. Dak will sign and then we'll see.

What's amazing to me though is that anyone thinks Hurts will be better than Dak. Lack of the ability to evaluate?

I'm not sold on Brady functioning in a deeper passing game that Tampa employs. I think he has lost a lot of arm strength and the NE short passing attack was a good fit for his age level.

If there's no season, they don't pay Dak any real money, even if he signs the tag. The tag is paid out over the course of the season on a weekly basis. I assume contracts would be tolled if the season is cancelled.

I like a handful of QB's this draft, but I just don't see Tua as realistic at 17. And I'm not a big fan of trading up that high to acquire him.

Nor I. I'd rather trade down and put myself in position to take a guy like Fromm in the 2nd or 3rd. To me, that would likely be better value. I don't think we can take a QB who can step in and be your starter this year. I think you have to understand that so really, you are looking for a QB to develop. Ideally, you want Dak back and you figure he will be back for a year or two at a minimum. If it turns out to be longer then that, then the QB you take in this draft is likely gone after his rookie contract because that guy is going to want to try and be a starter and if Dak is signed, then it's unlikely in Dallas. If that's the case, then I don't really want to spend a 1st on a QB that I am going to have to trade down the line. I want a QB who I took later and can parley into a 1st or 2nd down the line.

Dallas has an opportunity to drastically improve the teams chances at winning a championship over the next 2 years but instead they decided to go down the path that leads to mediocrity.

We could’ve dumped Dak’s stupid deal that he wants... Added Tom Brady with Gronk coming with him.

Think of how much better we would be if we had those 2 on the roster.

Think of how much more entertaining Sunday’s would be vs watching our QB try his best to not lose a game against any team that isn’t horrible.

Brady, Gronk, and Zeke on the same team? That would be lethal.

I do not get why this team is so scared to make moves like this.

They are the king of the smart decision.. Well let’s see how well the Bucs do over the next 2 years vs Dallas and their smart moves.

Now go draft Tua.. Stop being scared.. Dump that horrible anchor of a contract that Dak wants and get a prolific young QB in here that is cheap.

Take some risks please.
on one hand you say go get 2 old, expensive guys that are on the downside of their career. On the other hand you want us to go get a young, cheap prolific QB. Which is it? Anybody besides Dak for you I guess.

I know a lot of people said this but I gotta say, I didn't really see that with Brady last year. JMO
