I call BS agenda commentary here/ You just reported facts until the Cooper/backup comment. Fcat is the coaches never gave us a chance to SEE Cooper...so how do you KNOW he wasn;t a legit backup/ Because they didn't use him in game 15? You can;t use that kind of logic fallacy and expect to have credibility. It was a lapse in judgement that may have cost us the game.

If Dak never played in 2016....you'd'a said "well he's not a legit back up" (let alone a starter)...since they coaches would have not used him? Makes no sense.

NOPE...he got his shot and we got to see he was a real QB. IT's the only way to truly know.

It's not like the Cowboys have ever thrown a young, inexperienced QB into the fire because of injury.

Yikes. Imagine using total points against as your basis for defensive performance.

To fight silly logic with silly logic.

Top 10 scoring offenses(Playoffs):
Ravens(Y)
9ers(Y)
Saints(Y)
Bucs(N)
Chiefs(Y)
Cowboys(N)
Pats(Y)
Vikings(Y)
Seattle(Y)
Titans(Y)

:muttley::laugh:

I wanted to sort by teams with most claps, but it wouldn't let me.

So you think a win or go home is the best time to see if we have a legit QB2?

The coaches probably thought that an injured Dak gave us a better chance than a healthy Rush. Who knows what would have happened had we played him, but it was the coaches choice.

Here's my review:

The Cowboys lost eight games and missed the playoffs because the team wasn't good enough. Then again, they failed in another "win-and-in" game, so that's sort of like the playoffs, right? ;)

For conjecture sake: Cowboys 2019-20 Defense Rank-11th
2019-20 NFC Playoff participant defensive rankings
Seattle-22nd
Philly-15th
New Orleans-13th

Minnesota-5th
San Francisco-8th
Green Bay-9th

2019-20 AFC Playoff participant defensive rankings
Tennessee-12th
New England-1st
Buffalo-2nd
Houston-19th
Kansas City-7th
Baltimore-3rd

Still ranking defenses in yards allowed in 2020?

because its the QB's fault for not scoring a TD every drive. All other franchise QBs score every drive right?
Not every drive but you saw the games so many the offense just disappeared in the first half, to blame the Defense is just distorting the facts. Franchise QB's elevate teams Dak did not plain and simple.

It was mind-boggling indeed. The offense would wake up in the 3rd quarter. I hope coaching fixes that one issue.

When there's a debilitating injury...YES.

And that wasn't the only time he could have been used during the season.

But my point is not really that at all...although I admit to having that opinion. My original point is believing for a fact Rush would not have been able to come in as a backup. There isn't enough evidence for that.

(Let me get this straight...we just spent 4-5 years and all spring blasting Garrett for being a bad coach...but now SUDDENLY with THIS issue he was awesome and wise? Come on.)

just maybe the coaches realize something you or I dont. That Cooper has no business seeing the field and an injured Dak still gave us the best chance to win. Cooper is back with Carrot top lets see if he sees the field

Cowboys offense scored 10 or less points in 3 winnable games against the Patriots,Saints, and Eagles for the division....but lets leave that out so we cant get full context. Cherry picking is so much more convenient when trying to justify the 40 Million Dollar Man contract

Thank God we're adding the highest paid runningback in NFL history to the offense...oh.

You can't win if you don't score points.
The QB is mostly responsible for the above or else go watch baseball.
Now go cook some more Dak-Stats to try to fool the masses.....
I thought it was your boy Elliot. That ran the team

I would go with Zack Martin being our best player last sesson. He played through injuries and was selected as both first team All-Pro (genuine recognition for excellence) and the Pro-Bowl which has become a popularity contest in recent years but still worth mentioning.

I am not saying either way. Like I said...we been blasting Garrett pretty hard for years....now I'm supposed to trust him? Because of QB agendas?

If Romo hadn't gotten hurt, we would have assessed Dak as "not a good backup" because we didn't play him...even with a game out of reach.

Sorry Star...I just don't see this as good logic. It's an unknown.

Zeke doesn't run the team, never has. Now....when opposing coaches game plan to stack the box.....indicates zeke is a critical part of the team. Well according to opposing NFL head coaches anyway.

Special teams was bad last year. Everyone discounting the affect of a missed FG on the team mental state is wrong. Any key miss, a FG, a wide open WR, a missed interception, all affect the team and the outcome of games. And if Dak was the best player on the team last year, then we are a lot further away from a SB then I thought, anytime an average player is your best, your bound to suck.

Most objective fans would come to the conclusion that many (not all) losses were due to bad defense (specifically lack of turnovers generated) and horrendous special teams.

Many were because of defense special team and coaching at least 3-4 were on the offense though.

Zeke has seen stacked boxes at a rate higher than the NFL average exactly once(1) in all his four years, which was 2017. In 2017 teams stacked the boxes against Alfred Morris at a higher rate than Zeke.

Posters guessing that teams stack the box against Zeke are wrong. Posters guessing that NFL head coaches game plan a certain way against Zeke are also wrong. Unless they can give proof of their conversation with the NFL head coaches they mention.
