I don’t think you can say definitely that either Rodgers or Brees for sure wins that game. There are Plenty of times that Rodgers or Brees have the ball with a chance to tie or win and don’t win the game. It happens to every QB. Even the elite. It happens less often to the elite. But it still happens.

You are right nothing is for sure but you guys are missing my point....:an elite qb wins in that type of situation, down by 3 with 2 mins to go getting the ball back....on a national stage nevertheless.

dak missed a golden opportunity to silence the critics

Exactly my point, and thanks. Dak DID his job. He made the throw. Gallup made the catch. They did their part. The refs call took that away, it was no failure on Dak's part the way someone is trying to twist things.

Jipper made a good point. Dak had a 2nd opportunity...2 minute drill that pretty defines an "elite QB".

How did he do?

Hey all. Happy game day eve.

I have a serious question.

If Dak leads the cowboys to victory tomorrow AND outplays Russell Wilson. Will he earn some more respect? Not talking about haters non haters nothing like that. Just in general. I’ve supported him since day one and even I believe this is the kind of game that will make heads turn if he outperforms the guy everyone is saying will be MVP by season end.

What day you?
No!

People with a clue already know that Dak is a good QB.

Maybe some people that would rate him as an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10 move him to a 9 but people that think he is not good are not going to change their minds.

The media might give him a little more hype but that likely just means that media members that already thought he was good become more vocal about it.

Fans in the middle will require weeks or months of the media telling them what to think and then they'll jump on board.

NO. It can never be about one game. Dak has already shown he has immense talent. Even the so called haters would agree with that. What he hasn't shown is consistency, either from game to game or for a complete 60 minutes. That is the next step for him to take. He was great in the 2nd half against Atlanta but nothing special in the 1st half. Not being at your best for complete games means that overall you are just average. That is what the so called haters get down on Dak about. I don't hate Dak. I hope he becomes the greatest Dallas QB of all time. I want consistent play at or near his best for 60 minutes, not just part of the 2nd half when the team is down and trying to comeback. That is what he needs to be able to do to be respected by all and to be worth the money he is asking. We already know he is capable of being great. The problem is, he simply isn't great or even good too much of the time for some of us to accept the contract he wants.

For me, he doesn't have to win, just get through a game without a decision that should be second guessed and I'm fine.

I consider SEA to be the better team and they are at home. I don't fault a HC for losing to a better team or one that plays better as LAR did two weeks ago.

they win more often than not and again for the hundredth time dak missed a huge opportunity to show he’s an elite qb

why can’t you guys just admit dak missed an opportunity? Honestly I like many have said he’s a good qb.....but I just want to see him do some of the stuff elite qbs do regularly....

People talk about QBs like they're point guards, on the field controlling the entire game.

As well as Russell Wilson has played he was 2 yards away from losing last week and it had nothing to do with how Russell Wilson.

I think it’s fair for people to point out that generally the largest improvements in a QB’s play typically happen through the first 4 seasons. Historically that’s the case.

However, a lot of QB’s continue to improve beyond 4 seasons. The thing is the improvement slows down and the upward trajectory tends to flatten. Though they can still make improvements, many of which come from quicker processing and decision making due to increased experience. As opposed to much increased change in their physical ability to play the position.
Yeah I don’t know where this perception came from that guys at 27 should be finished products. As long as you are getting better I expect you to keep progressing while in your prime.

sorry he did not, that was one play and there were others in that drive that he could have led the team with.

Again I’m not being critical on dak but Rodgers or Brees wins that game, dak missed a major opportunity
Dak wins that game too without the penalty.

I didn’t say he didn’t miss an opportunity. Point to where I said that.

YOU said Rodgers and Brees DO win that game. I pointed out that YOU DONT KNOW if they win that game because they have lost games in the same situation before.
