I say lets just start playig Bernard and Anae,WILSON and lets see what they can do. Maybe they will add some juice to this defense.Right now its barely College level.

4 out of the 5 teams with new Head Coaches have losing records. Keep in mind, it's very early to be hitting the panic button. Thread after thread about how the sky is falling.
It's very reasonable to suggest we have more obstacles than most teams.
To me, it all hinges on the defense. It's what has failed us so far.

not early.

We are nearly eliminated from the playoffs.

1-2 teams do not make the playoffs.

big Mike wanted to hire his old buddies to be coaches.

This thing is going down fast.

green koolaid and blue don’t mix.

Yeap that worries me. However, his hires are pretty good except for Mike Nolan.

I'm a bit iffy about Kellen Moore as well.

When hired, McCarthy was also supposed to have a normal offseason (rookie camp, OTAs, mini camps, full training camp and 4 preseason games).

By and large, those teams with coaching/offense/QB and defensive-scheme continuity are currently doing better than those which have made significant changes in 2020.

Injuries compound the above.

I love how the Garrett nut huggers are declaring Big Mike a failure after 3 games yet their boy, who was here a dam decade, never won jack chit.
Yup Yup Yup. They were still making excuses after ten years of FAIL.

I understand but it’s all the evidence we have at this time. The analysis is subject to change on upcoming results.

You're more critical of MM in 3 weeks than you were of Garrett after 10 years, and Garrett stunk.

Correct. And everything that has happened to sports in 2020 since Jan was not yet on the horizon when MM was hired.

Considering the NFL world today, perhaps 3 games is a somewhat small sample size?

There was plenty of criticism for Garrett.

But there seems to be a shortage of holding McCarthys feet to the fire for questionable decisions and disappointing results.

It’s the only sample size we have. And it’s subject to change as the season develops and new results come in.

No doubt with the unprecedented events this season he will receive a pass for whatever the results are this season but much like our local media I intend to hold his feet to the fire.

When do we begin to see something that suggests a significant upgrade has been made with this coaching staff? The excuse of the pandemic — the lack of spring practice, summer practice, preseason games — is gone at least for this week.

Stefanski was given the same charge with a new team in Cleveland that McCarthy received. In the Browns' case, the team is committed to the run, averaging 170 yards per game on the ground, has won back-to-back games and is forging a new identity.

It’s hard to find much given that McCarthy’s first order of business last spring was to keep Kellen Moore in charge of the offense. With that, Prescott again is throwing the ball all over the field, averaging 396 yards per game. The Cowboys again are No. 1 in total offense.

But where they were sixth in scoring last year, they are eighth after three games. So once more the Cowboys are finding ways to pile up yards like nobody’s business, but it isn’t translating to enough points and, save for a watermelon onside kick that rendered Atlanta’s special teams players speechless (and clueless), the Cowboys would be 0-3.

What have we seen? Is there anything you have watched on any given Sunday that tells you someone new and better is in charge?

Even with Zeke Elliott in the backfield, the Cowboys aren’t even a top 20 rushing team in a 32-team league. Now that’s largely because of the shutdown in Seattle, so one can expect that to change incrementally as the season goes along.

But what about McCarthy’s longtime friend Mike Nolan managing the defense now? Are injuries a good enough excuse to explain the Jacksonville Jaguars being the only team allowing a higher passer rating (nine touchdowns, one interception) than the Cowboys' 114.1?
