It doesn’t have to be specific answers. Nobody is denying Lamb was best talent at that slot.

A defensive pick didn’t have to be as contributing this season to be another important piece in a rebuilding defense moving forward.
first round picks should be immediate starters and contributors. not rebuilding fodder. obviously you don't intend to answer the question.

Arguably the best WR in the draft and this also sets us up for the future. And, he returns kicks.

Um no that’s the whole point lol. The entire draft is picking who you have available, which available prospect would you have picked? The simple point here is there was no obvious defensive player there and no one picked after us defensively has been an elite baller.

I bet you would have been happy if we took Trevon Diggs there based on need, even though the draft board clearly showed there was 50 prospect with similar grades all sitting there and Ceedee is a cut above.

If CJ Henderson was there sure that’s the pick we gotta make, but no clear pro-bowl defenders versus a lock starter/future pro-bowler in Lamb isn’t a tough one.
There’s several defensive picks I’d of taken at our slot. Or moved up or probably down for more picks and prob taken one of the CB’s later in 1st.

It doesn’t have to be one particular player to prove a point . It’s more about addressing greater weaknesses and priorities.

i ask you a question which you will not answer and instead give me a reading assignment.
I’m not required to reply as you see fit. Instead I’ll redirect it.

My argument isn’t about comparing specific players.

The truth as you see it.

Again, my argument isn’t predicated on comparing specific talent but more on addressing our weaknesses and priorities thereof which obviously is a basis in which we don’t agree.

And I’d definitely suggest gathering your knowledge outside this arena from more noted and respected opinions and analysts.

Trading for more picks isn't always a good solution. This defense is so bad and short of exceptional talent, I believe they need key playmakers with the first several picks.

What defender was going to turn this season around? If anything the cowboys were likely to take chaisson who has been a bust so far.
Whoooooaaa hossie. We were talking about the draft in general. Focusing on one pick doesn't do much when discussing draft strategy.

Diggs, anae, gallimore et. al. Suggest we were thinking defense. But you don't pass up on the gift of a lambo .

Sarcasm, sheldon. No one's won or lost anything over this discussion. You just don't seem able to get enough of yourself. Another chapter of the victimization of dhb.:)

But there’s no reason to resort to such. We can have civilized discussions without the sarcasm, smartarse, insulting remarks cause someone doesn’t agree.

It becomes apparent at some point it’s their only rebuttal.

Yes, when it becomes personal. It’s about intent.

Making general sarcastic comments is fine but when they’re directed at someone to discredit them personally it’s against the rules.

So a team with the #2 passing offense and bad D takes a WR in the 1st and that's not a luxury pick?

Lamb is a legit #1 from his rookie year. Would allow us to move on from one or both of Cooper and Gallup in 2022. Incredible value.

You gotta look at more than 1 year to evaluate a draft pick.

Yea, but Wentz was always a first-round physical talent, the questions were just about the small school thing. Mahomes suffered because of he wasn't a "pro style" QB.

People need to rethink what a "pro style" QB is.
