but rumor has it the way so many rookies are playing well much quicker then before because teams started adapting their offenses to the QB instead of trying to force them to be in pro style base offense is going to re-adjust the qb market because many vet qbs will be let go and flood the market with cheaper VET QBS..it happened with the rookie qbs deals long time ago and will happen again. so more quality qbs available means far less price tags..

soon owners will give the very select elite qbs that kind of money , the market is so out of control most are making double some of the best players on the field like Wrs, DBS, and Lbs and they have taken notice and want more of the cap ..im sorry but as good as dak is , hes not in the select few elite group..35 is already too much IMHO but ill let jerry decide and roll with it...

i wont be upset either way as QBs are demanding far more then their worth to most teams..

how did the Texans fair with Watsons new deal? he was healthy all year and they have what the same or worse record then us we played with 4 Qbs, a bad defense, and new coaching staff.

has that happened yet? where did you hear those rumors? and which young QBs are playing well and leading their teams?

Here are some things Cowherd didn't mention. Dalton while with the Cowboys has had ONE, UNO, a single good game and others like total passing yards of 185, 203, 209, 215 which are just pedestrian at best. How many rushing TD's does Dalton have and how many does Prescott have.

Now comparing two different teams in different years can be done to make the outcome be whatever you want it to be. Example. Daltons 1st 4 years he had one of the best offensive lines in the league just like Prescott's 1st year. Dalton had 3 really good receivers his 1st 4 years with A.J. Green, Sanu and Marvin Jones. Prescott had the receiver that led the league in drops. Dalton's 1st 4 years he threw 63 picks, Prescott threw 36 picks his 1st 4 years and Cowherd says that Dalton is the better passer with 27 more picks. I can make the comparison so lopsided to Prescott so easily.

I heard that on his radio show today. He was saying they are basically the same guy if you look at Daltons first 4 seasons in the NFL. Dalton throws a better football. Dak is more athletic. They are both going to get you 8-9 wins a year. So, why pay one guy 40M when you can pay the other half that much and use the saving to build a better team?

Well compare that to Peyton Manning's first 4 years...maybe we should ask Manning to come back and play....I mean stats from 10 years ago of a washed up QB that just got replaced with a Rookie QB...wow...what are we thinking!!!!

2019. a lame duck coach in garrett. a first year OC, with all of 1 year of coaching experience, defensive coaches fighting on the sideline...yeah, what a year....if not for Dak, the team would have been 3-13..... lets not forget that awsome kicker, who is now out of the league that missed 10 fields goals between 30-40 yards costing us games...lets not forget a coach who had a brain fart, drove down the field passing and then decided to run the ball twice and pass to the RB twice (what a genuis), lets not forget the coach that told his player not to return the ball, even though he had 15 yards of open space in front of him....

the pure facts are...Dalton (triple D), beat three 4-11 teams playing with their back up QBs. he has not come close...not by an NFL mile, close to being competitive playing against any average team......

Dalton...this guy...is your saviour? right?

I enjoyed the win....I am giving credit to where credit is due. defense has played great and getting turnovers and that's nice to see.....I am not about to stick my head in the sand and pretend the team is any good or has any chance in making any kind of a run........that's called reality....I don't celebrate beating up on 4-11 teams too much....that's not accomplishment, that's fighting for scraps.....while losing to average teams by an NFL mile. that's not reality.
