What did they all do last year though? You know Will fuller had 800 yards in 11 games? Or Cooks having 1k yards in 15? I didn't say anything about their careers. Texans also didn't lead the league in drops 2 years straight...but go off...
Haha....good thing our WR had stellar QB play this season...but keep going with that terrible take

Oh Ok so he had to score all the points with a suspect OL and go out and stop the Chiefs as well with Bill O'Brien making mind numbing calls too. OH OK I got you yeah he's super overrated then LMAO

21 point lead at the end of the first
and behind 28-24 at the end of the 2nd.

yea that's all on defense

how about a drive to keep the ball out of KC's hands?

Funny you saying that but ironically trying to lay the blame all at Watson feet lol. I'm guessing he wasn't responsible for the first 28pts though right? lol

It's a team sport.. Don't tell that to these QB's and their agents though. They think they can take up 20% of the cap and win titles at the same time. Football utopia for everyone.

Pay the QB.. Have great everything everywhere.

Not entirely, no. Did you watch the game? There was a blocked punt for the second TD. Then a fumbled punt put the ball inside the 5 for an easy score. That got to 21. Watson then led a FG drive to get them to 24. That was their last points until Mahomes scored like 42 unanswered. Watson never got it back on track at all. I keep hearing how great he is. But blowing a 24pt lead in the span of 10 minutes is pathetic.

You will not get an argument from me on this and the silly part of it all teams keep imploding their rosters by giving up these astronomical figures to the qb's. Then when they see that the bargain bin approach to replacing talent doesn't work they are stuck with a high priced qb and JAGS in other positions.

Try to keep up here buddy if a team scores 42 unanswered points then at what point do you look at the defense, how about get a stop get the guy the ball back. That's literally an avalanche of points I watched the game and please try to tell me you didn't see them dumb conservative calls O'Brien kept making when they could've kept attacking instead of trying to rest on a lead. It made Garrett/Linehan look like the greatest show on turf.

Which is why I don’t understand why a team as bad as the Jets would give up all their draft resources and turn around and pay Watson as well.

Houston and Watson need to figure something out because their stupidity and greediness got them in this situation.

Honestly Houston is in that one alone because you don't trade away half your roster one of which is your QB1's favorite target for a bad of potato chips aging rb and a bag of skittles. That's not to mention they systematically dismantled their defense player by player. They are competing with the Jones family to be the worst run front office in football

You guys are having a argument that doesn't even matter anyways.

WR is an overrated position.

Wide receiver is extremely important. Guys that can get separation and create easy reads for quarterbacks help the passing game the passing game has the highest correlation to scoring points.

on the other hand wide receiver is easy to find because of the nature of the college game nowadays and spread offenses having four wide receivers consistently on the field.

the supply is high and so letting a guy like Gallup go is not a big deal because you can find a replacement pretty easily in the top three rounds.

Can't pay everyone.. They chose the QB.

If only there was a poster on this site calling this kind of thing out for years.
Admittedly you have been saying that, but it still takes the owners reaching that conclusion for it to matter.

You can call it what it was but QB play wasn't nearly the issue you are making it. Hell Gilbert wasn't even bad the game he was out there. Ben Dinucci was bad.......Dalton and Dak were fine. Keep up the excuses though.

Watson was instrumental in getting his HC fired in season, why wouldn't he think he would have a say in his replacement?

Bill O'Brien was the one most instrumental in getting himself fired during the season. He was on the hot seat for a few years despite the Texans winning their division and making the playoffs. His coaching was questionable and his GM decisions were worse. It was amazing he kept his job as long as he did.
