Urban's a good player. As is the case with many players this season, I suspect he's on a 1 year deal because of the cap situation. I think we got quite fortunate to get him.

He could certainly bring something at DT or DE in stopping the run at over 300 LBs and closing passing windows at 6’7”. That’s a big man.

I continue to be blown out of the water by all the Free Agent upgrades on Defense the team is getting but this might be the one so far that landed within 20 miles of the intended target. It might actually make the enemy go, "What was that?"..."Oh, back to napping." LOL

Agreed! We need a 1T DT. Alim, Tufele, Slayton, and Shelvin are great options for that.

Definitely right! We've needed a run stopping DT for a while. Additionally, he'll be instrumental in helping Gallimore develop his run stopping abilities since they play the same position. If we get a 1T that can stop the run as well, we'll be very difficult to run on. Also, Urban is good at generating a push on the oline. If we can have our DTs push the pocket, it means the QB can't step up trapping him. All the DEs have to do then is just tidy up by bringing down the QB. If he gets the ball out, it'll be rushed meaning our DBs should be able to take the ball away.

I can understand Poe....but I don't get how you can't get behind Griffen or McCoy at the time.

Because they are old, washed up and suck. Both proved it. McCoy's body couldn't hold up for all of camp. Griffen was lost out there. He looked slow and old.
