Id personally try to trade LVE.
I would plug in JOK at WLB day 1 and let Jaylon and LVE fight over the other two spots.
Who is JOK?: Is it that hard to actual type out a person';s name?

I agree, Neal isn't needed at LB, but Jaylon/Lve must rebound this upcoming season or they will be replaced. If LVE can stay healthy and they do switch to a 4-3 scheme, they won't need Neal as a linebacker. Jaylon isn't going anywhere, he got paid so they will allow him to redeem himself, plus the Jones boys refuse to admit they were wrong about a player they invested in like Jaylon.
I'd try to get Cox and/or Browning in round 3 depending on what we do round 1. They're solid LB options. I'd really like McNeil at 44 because I think he and Tufele are 2 of the best DTs in the draft which is also a big need. So, round 1 for me determines who we should draft between the two. If we get Moehrig, then Browning should be our choice with the first of 2 3rd round picks (or more depending on the trade down). If we go Pitts at 10, then we'll need Cox with the second of 2 3rds because we MUST, in that situation, draft Holland in round 3 to address safety.
I think we can forget about McNeil now after the Giants lost Tomlinson, they are going to replace him. Don't see the Cowboys taking a 1 Tech that high. Heard they like the Ohio State DT Togiai.
Browning/Cox are more 2nd rd prospects, it would be great if one would fall to 75, but it's not likely. Jamin Davis, McGrone, Werner are some of the prospects that should be there. We don't need stars, but more of a Hitchens type who can be solid contributors.
Its one thing to think and another to do it.The linebacker talent drops off considerably after JOK and Zaven Collins. Strong Consideration should be given to drafting an LB in round 1. With multiple tradedowns, Dallas can pick up multiple 2nd round picks and still land Zaven Collins. Trading down once to 18, and we might still have a shot at JOK.
The only way Parsons gets passed the top ten is if Denver and Dallas pass on him, but Im betting that Denver takes him at 9.Nah I hope like heck Jerry doesn't pick up his option. We have enough terrible contracts. LVE is damaged goods.
I rather draft his replacement. Speaking of linebackers. If Parsons or JOK is there do we pass? I can see passing on JOK even though he is considered the pass coverage linebacker in the draft. A little on the small side at 220lbs but he is one of the new skoo linebackers. Very fast and can cover. Parsons I love his blitzing, size and etc.
We can’t rule out the Cowboys drafting Parsons, Collins and JOK in the first round. I think you stated in another thread that Quinn’s defenses can be half 3/4 and half 4/3.With JOK maybe you can run a hybrid defense with 3 safeties. I actually think the Cowboys can find hybrid safety/linebackers later in the draft with Deablo Va Tech and the big Florida St kid.We are well aware that Jaylon must have a big rebound season as he isn't playing up to his contract and is a release candidate after the season.
Team needs to decide if they are going to pick up Lve's option for next yr this May. Recently heard it's for over 9 million. With his poor health and declining play, it is looking likely they don't pick up the option.
Joe Thomas recently left via fa. Sean Lee hasn't yet decided if he's going to play next season or not.
With the team moving back to the 4-3, another starter is needed. With Lve's lack of durability, another starter caliber linebacker has to be added for depth. I expect one starter to be signed and a future starter to be drafted. It might be a good idea to spend multiple picks on the positional group as the future is totally uncertain.
It just shows how fast the league changes. Just a few years ago we also had the best offensive line in football. Now Tyron is coming back from a decapitation and Collins from hit replacement.Incredible the difference from 2018.
2018 we were all thinking we're covered at the LB position for the foreseeable future with 2 up and coming stars...now, not so much.
I still think these guys "read their press clippings" and didn't work as hard in the film room - that and they had terrible coaching, Jaylon
thinking he deserved a Pro Bowl selection last year tells me that.
the future is now each year is new fill holes play and reorganize next offseason.. the NFL seasons are ONE Offs lets get this offseason complete before we judge..one week into FA and month before draft and how many months before preseason games are played? No matter what they do in fa, many unknowns for the future at the position.
