It depends on the way we draft. If we trade back, then 2 LBs becomes doable. I'm going to make a slight caveat here with something I'm seeing in another thread, and it'll make sense when I explain what I'm seeing as a good option. Apparently, the Bears are trying to shop Akim Hicks. Translation, they'll probably cut him if they can't trade him. As with how I remember what Urban did to Zeke when I watched the Cowboys Bears game in 2019, I recall Hicks really giving Dak a rough night that game as well. So, I'm thinking, with credit to
@KingintheNorth for his point about how trades are going lately, we trade one of our 4s to Chicago for Hicks and a 6. So, let's say it's the second of the two 4th round picks we've got that we send out. That gives us another 6th and Hicks. I'd then try to trade back with the Saints and pick up their 2, 3, 5, and 2nd next year (based on the last mock draft I did involving this deal). This gives us a later 1st, 2 2nds, 3 3rds, 1 4th, 2 5ths, 3 6ths, and 1 7th. My move then is to take Moehrig, McNeil, Browning and then proceed through the draft using the 4th we didn't trade on Chazz Surratt. That's how I think we can get both linebackers and rocket our defence from worst to possibly first.
