What sounds odd to you may be normal to others

Do you guys know what "Poke Salad " is?

https://encrypted-tbn0.***NOT-ALLOWED***/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTVCnNDzN_g7J-suFC50UyWa604DY1TgYqolw&usqp=CAU nasty trust me. These people will eat anything.:huh: You have to be starving to eat this stuff.

I see people here say things like, "The grass needs mowed.", They leave out the "to be" part. (Yes, I know, To be or not to be.) My brother's girlfriend is from PA, and she's the only person I know personally who does that,so it was kind of a relief to see that others do it too.

I picked it up from my mom, who grew up in Southern Illinois, so they leave out the "to be" there a lot too. I think parts of Indiana does as well.

In DC/DMV area

Jack= cigarette

Lunchin = acting stupid/inappropriately for the setting

Wellin = lying/exaggerating

Bamma = someone from the South or Baltimore (out of towner and obvious)

Kirk = get mad "I kirked out on him"

Sice = exaggerate - pretty sure this is national though

One thing I noticed when visiting New York, they say "on line" instead of "in line"; no cuts, I'm on line here! They are on the line, not in it lol
