Don’t you think that’s when they should give the ball to ElliotThey will ignore this
You mean the season we lost is Bryant and Jason win. And Elliot was putting the ball on the ground .But what about the games where the defense did show and Daks high powered offenses was kicking field goals against the Saints, Jets, Eagles
Geez, why can't we just give this a rest for a little while!!!!! Talk about kicking a dead horse over and over. If and when Dallas get the defense going, maybe we'll see a few wins over some good teams. I look forward to it!no such thing as garbage stats.
just an invented talking point to fuel a false narrative by talking heads on tv.
believe what you want tho.
Dak Prescott: Record against winning teams
Dak Prescott took over as the Dallas Cowboys quarterback after being drafted by the team in 2016. He got an opportunity for an injured Tony Romo that turned into a long-term gig. Prescott has been a very good quarterback for the Cowboys despite the lack of team success that was expected.
Let’s take a look at how many times the Dallas Cowboys won games against teams with a winning record with Dak Prescott as their starting quarterback.
I started to dive into this stat for every quarterback because the new hot argument is to say that a certain quarterback didn’t beat anyone good. I often see people use this argument to say players like Kirk Cousins and Matthew Stafford are not good and just put up empty stats.
First off and most importantly, quarterback wins are a team statistic. Secondly, very few quarterbacks in the NFL have a winning record against teams who finished the season above .500 in the league.
See every QB’s record against winning teams
What is Dak Prescott’s record against winning teams?
Since entering the NFL in 2016, Dak Prescott is 13-20 (.393) against teams that finished the season with a winning record.
In 2020, Dak Prescott was 0-3 (.000) against winning teams as the starting quarterback.
In 2019, Dak Prescott was 2-6 (.250) against winning teams as the starting quarterback.
- Rams (loss)
- Seahawks (loss)
- Browns (loss)
In 2018, Dak Prescott was 3-4 (.428) against winning teams as the starting quarterback.
- Saints (loss)
- Packers (loss)
- Eagles (win)
- Vikings (loss)
- Patriots (loss)
- Bills (loss)
- Rams (win)
- Eagles (loss)
What quarterbacks have a winning record against winning teams?
- Seahawks (loss)
- Texans (loss)
- Titans (loss)
- Eagles (win)
- Saints (win)
- Eagles (win)
- Colts (loss)
There are currently 6 active NFL quarterbacks with winning records against winning teams.
^^^^ The common denominator for these 6 QBs with winning records against winning teams? They have all been surrounded by good offenses and very good defenses.
- Ben Roethlisberger
- Jimmy Garoppolo
- Lamar Jackson
- Patrick Mahomes
- Russell Wilson
- Tom Brady
You can digest that information on your own. The only thing I want you to take away from this is that it is extremely rare to have a winning record against teams that finished the season with a winning record.

We wasted Zeke on a rookie contract, with the OL at its prime, training what has become at best, an average QB surrounded by plenty of talent in offense, when we could have had Romo paired with Zeke for a few years, while we trained this mediocre QB in Dak, if we really wanted.
But in reality, this FO was cheap and thought they could reproduce 2016 with this mediocrity on a rookie contract, thinking this league, like it did in 2017, wouldn’t realize all you had to do was double Beasley to expose this pretender at QB, who was at his best as a bus driver. As far as red zone offense, all defenses had to do was put a spy on Dak and let him try and beat you with his arm.
And now our genius owner signed his average QB at best to a ridiculous contract, with a “no trade clause”, coming off a broken leg when all they had to do is franchise him for another year and draft a real QB.
Is it Dak or is it the Dallas Cowboys? The defense has been terrible nearly his whole time in the league. It’s not Dak.I know it's not just his fault but Dak's record against winning teams the past 3 years is not good.
He's 5-13 the past 3 seasons.
He threw for a lot of garbage stats in many of the losses and hasn't performed at a top level.
For a 4th round pick, he was given a lot of deference.
But now, he's compensated as a Top level QB and he is expected to perform as such and find a way to overcome deficiencies outside of his control.
The Top QB's tend to "find a way" and that's what will be expected of Dak.
I hope he can deliver.
Yeah the middle of the road defense was actually higher than it should have been ranked IMHO because the offense was generally controlling the clock and helping keep the defense off the field. And the whole single digit takeaways thing is NEVER going to cut it.
No Idea what you're talking about. You seem to have an emotional connect with the QB. And I don't care.I guess it depends on the definition of "bash".
We get to "bash" our very good WR's...no problem.
But Dak needs protected from it? Because there is some gray area and disagreement? Gottta toe the line on him or else.....
You can add in....call them "haters" because "they don't have the ability to debate politely".
Of course you don't. Your profile pic says it all. And anyone that endorses your nonsense posts.I dont see anyone being rude.

Ah yes that above average defense in 2019 that couldn’t force a punt against the Bills and Bears. Clearly Dak’s fault.
Romo talent wise can’t compare to Prescott
