A one game suspension for Hill may be a good thing for Hill, but still a bad for the Boys. Hopefully, he learns something from this, we will see.

Here's hoping he'll be available at DT vs. the Washington Football Team.

His play has been respectable lately, outside of his suspension.

Hopefully, that disciplinary action taught him something.

My post history has been the complete opposite of "only here to complain" so don't try to pull that card.

It was a reach pick with a player who had and still has maturity issues. Almost 3 years into his deal and his claim to fame so far is sleeping during a meeting, not being on the field (either not good enough or injured) and punching somone after a game.

That's not hating that's just facts. It was a controversial pick then and it still is now. Unfortunately these 2nd round reach picks have been VERY common the last 10 years, especially on the defensive side
While what you say is true, its still a mental mind slap when revisiting past drafts and mistakes made, the old hindsight is 20/20 dialogue.
Cant jump in a time machine and correct all the draft mistakes, if we could we would have more rings than fingers.
Not busting down your thoughts, just relating that I used to be a revisionist as well post drafts, and its just better to not look back at what could have been, but hope that the player in this case Hill.. somehow becomes something of value.

Doubt it but I hope you are right.
His lack of maturity has been his largest obstacle to overcome so far in his early career and Hill needs to figure it out quickly.
He has the ability to go from the dog house to the penthouse, but he needs to get it together on the field. and redefine his game.
Fans forget all the negatives when positive productive plays are being made, esp at DT on this team.

What difference does it make if Steele is suspended 1 game or 2? Isn't he now a backup player? I thought La'el Collins was back, isn't he?

like I said "soft rigged"...this happens alot by design.
I like your word, soft rigged. Goes along w/ what I believe is happening, that they call games to keep them close. The timing of the penalties against us vs LV completely supports this.

What a garbage draft pick. Almost 3 years into his rookie contract and his claim to fame is sleeping during a team meeting, being injured often, and punching someone after a game. Of course Rod wanted him because he believed he could save his maturity and character issues ("uhh I can reach these youngins and turn them around")

Hill is a guy that is not a JAG.

I'm okay with the label project pick. In hindsight at this moment he should of gone later in the draft over how his career has played out so far, but the beautiful thing about it is he still has the chance to reverse that and be a pick we can't believe we got with a 2nd round pick. That alone is a reason I think labeling him a garbage pick is nothing more then just wanting to complain.
Not hindsight. Looking at his skillset, lack of starting, and where the scouts rated him, everything pointed toward the 5th or later. I'm surprised you think hindsight played a part in my evaluation. Especially since most considered him a project pick at the time.

well said my friend. I had a great new perspective on this as well..sitting at my first Dallas game at Jerry World. We saw more of that ref crew on the Jumbo tron than we did the players. Half of the calls were phantom...and in key moments. Might I add, NEVER against the Raiders. It became obvious what was going down early.

He's not. He's more of a one trick pony type. Amazing burst off the ball. It's now up to the staff to figure out how to channel this burst to make him a useful player. Appears to be more of rotational type or pass rush specialist.

If we fail to run the ball and protect Dak, we will lose many more games this year. I dont want Dak playing hero ball back there running around for his life. Thats when he gets in trouble.Time for these dudes 2 do their jobs.

Hill scares me the most actually because if he gets going he lifts that team on his back energy-wise.We cant let him get going early. We must set the tone.

And what did they get? An exciting ending, just as they wanted. They don't care about who wins so much, they just want to keep it exciting. And they've figured out that calling key penalties does just that. Explains the Noncall in the NO/MINNY game to a T. Explains why no lead is safe any more.

And it's easy, because they make sure and show the fans the hold being called, and everyone goes "Yup, that was holding." Never mind the 50 previous plays where it was just as obvious.

Dak will continue to get hurt and we'll continue to play around .500 ball as long as we continue to stupidly pass 50 times per game.

yep. Winning this time of year requires a solid run game and decent D. Its vastly different than playing in September. Its been 25 years and the organization seems to have not learned this lesson nor does it seem they care. Why should they? Shoot...they make so much money regardless, whats the incentive?Just sayin.
