I’d take Zappe as a backup in a millisecond. If he had a stronger arm, there’s no doubt in my mind he’d be a first round pick.

Being a WKU fan and grad, I followed Zappe all season. He was simply amazing setting records this season. Whether it will translate to the NFL is anyone’s guess but the guy has talent.

Nobody thought Cox would be there in the 4th who also is athletic from a big school and more of a nickel player. It is possible, as off the ball linebackers, especially run defenders are now devalued.

Dane said he believes top 75 and unlikely to be there for the Cowboys at 88. I believe there will be some quality linebackers thru our 4th rd pick to chose from, the same an be said about the TE position which the Cowboys appear to be in the market as well.

I think Chenal is a textbook example of a guy that doesn’t play to his timed speed. In this case, he tested off the charts but you don’t see that on the field.

In terms of playing the LB position, I actually like his teammate Jack Sanborn better.

Testing is important, but not the end all, be all, which is the game film. He is more of a downhill player, where many have to project him in coverage, which he didn't do much on the college level. The modern game is all about stopping the pass, which there are question marks within his game.

According to pff he had the second highest run defense grade in pff history behind Micah parsons. Along with 18 tfl and 8 sacks. I'm kind of done with this back and forth though. We'll see draft day sir

This. Just look at his tape. He doesn’t look all that fluid especially moving laterally. He can be a really good 2 down player and if he’s there in the 3rd round he’d be a good get.

Maybe he goes sooner, but the board I usually look at has him at number 88 overall. That's well into the 3rd round. Of course a lot can change from now until the draft, and these big boards aren't always dead on, but they're rarely that far off.
