Players Cowboys show interest in 2022 draft

So . . . I feel a whole lot better after reading this post.

Is this true?

We have friggin' four 5th round picks?

I vote we take four quarterbacks in the fifth round.. surely, one of them beats out Dakota.

I'm only on board with Dak this year, because I have to be. But I do know one thing. He's not likely to win any big games.. So, truthfully, I'm truly down to take a good number of those picks and use them on QB. Like, at least two.

We can really stack up, though, on some talent, with those kinds of picks.

I'm going out on a limb now.

Cowboys go quarterback in the first round.
I don’t get why people so emphatically feel we can’t win anything with Prescott at QB. Look at all the CRAPPY QB’s that played in the SB…
Jeff Hostetler
Brad Johnson
Trent Dilfer
Nick Foles
Doug Williams
Joe Flacco
Mark Rypien
Jim McMahon
Etc., etc., etc.

I can’t man…for a team that’s so close drafting a project WR at 24 might make me more mad than any pick I can recently remember. I really, really hope every WR we’re meeting with us taken before we pick.

even amongst the receiver picks he’s the worst option. Unless you want the slowest WR corp in the league. At least Olave would be a speed threat.

all the guys you listed were not crappy the year they won the SB. They all played good to great once in playoffs.
Some of them had a great defense to keep other teams score down.

Dak could win a SB if he had a great defense to back him up. and if he were to play like he did 1st few games of 21 season.
But so far dak has not played well at end of seasons, and in playoffs. And he doesnt have the great defense , which means dak and offense need to produce more
points in playoff games, and play with a lead not the slow start comeback thing.

The rams had a great defense last year and is why they won the SB, more than the offense. The defense stopped the bengals at end and game over.
Dallas is nowhere near the rams defense.
If that had been dallas, bengals would have scored and won the game.

Sb teams also need good to great coaches who are lets say having a good year, and dallas does not have that either.
So even if we swapped and got burrows and they got dak, I doubt dallas would get to a SB with our coaches.

No one’s crappy when they win a Super Bowl! My point remains—Dak is as good a QB as several guys that have played in Super Bowls.

:hammer:..........Like his tape.....was a little disappointed today though... Looked a little soft. Thought Zion Johnson looked better in all the drills.

Watch them bypass both, and draft someone with “position flex”…

Uses 8 as proof they were merely flukes to “validate” crying narrative, despite several others not listed.

Once or twice is a fluke. More than a dozen is a trend.

NFL Draft News and Rumors: Tight end Armani Rogers building buzz
Quarterback-turned-tight end Armani Rogers is starting to build a buzz in draft rooms around the league. The former UNLV signal-caller, who was a backup for Ohio last season, followed up three terrific days of practice at the Shrine Bowl with an outstanding pro day workout in the middle of March.

Rogers participated in the UCLA Pro Day and measured 6’5 3/8″ and 233 pounds. He timed as fast as 4.56 in the 40-yard dash, had a short shuttle of 4.31, and posted a 7.20 three-cone. His vertical jump was 34 inches, and Rogers reached 10’10” in the broad jump.

Not invited to the Combine, Rogers has been on official top-30 visits with the Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins. He also had private workouts with the Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas Raiders, and Los Angeles Chargers.

Where could Alec Pierce land?
Cincinnati wideout Pierce, presently graded as a third-round prospect on my 2022 NFL Draft Big Board, has been a busy man since January. After playing in the national semi-final game against Alabama, Pierce participated in the Senior Bowl and NFL Combine.

Pierce had official top-30 visits with the Cincinnati Bengals and Chicago Bears. He also has a private workout upcoming with the Cowboys.

So close to what??

Thats the problem with a lot of fans. The draft is about stockpiling talent, not selecting who will give us immediate ROI. Thats how you end up with Zeke instead of Ramsey

The Cowboys kicked up their draft prep in meetings today at The Star. The draft is April 28-30. They have picks in every round but the seventh at the moment w/four selections in the fifth round.

Yup…agree! That’s why if you have a chance at LG1/2 over WR 5/6 you’re taking the better talent and the position of need.

LG1/2 doesnt mean they are a better player than WR 5/6

In fact, most draft analysts have Burks rated higher than Green and Johnson

Perfect…then Burks should go to another team ahead of us and we can watch him figure out what running a route is elsewhere.

Tid bit: When they are talking about Kollar out of ISU, Broaddus said he thinks they like the QB Purdy as a UDFA. Says he is Kellen Moore kind of QB FWIW.
