I have the tendency to divide it into quadrants. Doesn't mean there is an equal break because I do not see 8 Tier 1's, fewer, or Tier 4's, more. And I do not see Mayfield as a strong 3.

I looked at it like this, top QBs tier 1, everyone else tier 2, and the QBs that shouldn't be playing in the NFL as tier 3. But the flaw in my logic is that Daniels Jones would be in the same tier as Tony Romo and Matt Stafford, tier 2. That's absurd. So I like your POV concerning QBs. But I still don't think Baker Mayfield is tier 3. That's the only place I disagree, and time will tell who is right.

It will be interesting because the most unusual part of this is that I do not recall any QB being tied to a market/team that tightly.

What are they going to do now? Show Watson moving into the stadium with a bunch of masseuses unloading the boxes and furniture?

He is definitely Tier 3 to me, he had an excellent run game, WR's and a defense and could not get it done.

He is also still available for the taking and no team seems to be kicking the tires. But, unlike the other QB's, he comes with some baggage like Cutler did and Jeff George.

It's rare for a player to let the world know he doesn't want another player as a teammate.

He has been in the league for years. He was surrounded by a great line, the best run game in football, a solid defense, and weapons on offense. Anytime they had to depend on him he threw picks and could rarely get the job done. I have Cleveland buddies and we would laugh about how bad he was.

Players understand when they sign a contract that a team can part ways with them at any time which is why they want a lot of guaranteed money. The guaranteed money keeps climbing every year. Deshaun Watson just signed a contract that’s fully guaranteed.

Had he taken the Cardinals deep into the playoffs or reached the Super Bowl I can understand him wanting a new contract but not after a mega meltdown in the first round of the playoffs.

You mean contract extension? Anyway, I just find it difficult to believe a team is going to pay Murray around 40M a year after giving up multiple first round picks. I have a feeling he's stuck in Arizona.
