Maybe one was the driver and one the shooter and that's why they were charged accordingly. Did they say how many were confirmed in the vehicle?

There are a lot of details that have not been released to the public, which is why I hold off judgement. I don't have all the facts.

You're ready to hang him.

I think you may be misinterpreting my take on the situation as hanging a person.

I guess I can share that my opinion is nothing should happen to KJ until all the facts are out.

What I am concerned about is the behaviour that is being suggested by the facts.

Being aware of an incident that has led to the death of another. Not communicating said incident to the authorities for a certain period of time, but connecting to the victim and the incident through social media anonymously.

My feelings are this young man has a significant amount of resources at his disposal. More than most people. An agent, a players association, league officials, a team owner and team rep, etc.

He has had one year in the league. Been around the locker room of men for a year. I'm fairly certain he has taken all the mandatory workshops and rookie events.

If not legally, then morally nothing about what happened to KJ can be good here. I'm not looking for him to hang here, but I do believe we all have to face the consequences of our decisions. At the very least, in this case, he should have to address his involvement with the arrested individuals and his suspected delayed inaction.

This is why I felt it doesn't look good for him. As I said I'm no Texas lawyer, or a Dallas Cowboys organization member, but it can't be good trying to explain your behaviour.

Another thing that doesnt look good for KJ...

These youtube interviews that are popping up of him on here...why do all of them seem to have him saying something along the lines of "Im misunderstood because of my past or where I grew up"?

But raps about that lifestyle and then finds himself in a car during a drive by that kills someone.

The math isnt adding up. Either people speculating that you have bad character or judgement are right...or KJ is extremely ignorant of the environment he chooses to be in. Because the worst outcome that people speculated on has come true.

You tell me. Do you know how they sound? If you don't, don't bring it up. The point is this guy's style of speaking shows what kind of lifestyle he's a part of.
Do you know how people from Baton Rouge talk? It’s silly to judge someone’s lifestyle based on how they speak. Because if that was the case you would’ve never saw Rae Carruth or Aaron Hernandez coming. You can judge the guy for his actions all you wanted but it’s silly to do it because he has a BR accent.

His rap career is a persona. Al Pacino isn’t Cuban or a drug lord. No one questions if he is though. Gotta decipher the persona from the man.

No...I get that.

But I think there is probably enough smoke around KJ and his past to suggest that his rapping persona and his lifestyle are entangled.

But you are correct in a lot of cases...its all just a persona.

For me...this boils down to how much trouble have the people KJ runs with been in. How many times have KJ's crew been questioned or convicted in fights or shootings over the years? We know that one of the guys arrested was not allowed to be carrying a gun. I assume because of a previous charge. Doesnt mean it was a violent crime...but the guy was in trouble it seems.

How many serious offenses do you get to claim "it was them, not me". Even if you arent guilty of commiting or wanting to or intending to commit a crime...how many times? I guess its not against the law to hang with criminals.

Joseph put himself in this situation. He chose the crowd to associate with. I'm kind of tired of this front office reaching for players at a potential bargain when they have shady character issues, substance abuse or injury histories.
Josh Brent, Randle, Carroll, Wilson, Irving, Hardy, McClain, Gregory, and even Bryant and Ratliff to name a few.......
Get players that want to play football without the baggage.

I do and he still sounds like a moron.

This is reaching from you guys to defend a Cowboys player. He sounds like a moron which is why he found himself in a bad situation.

Guess he was just in his persona when he got into a fist fight with two men and then one of his buddies, who he accompanied, shot and killed one of them.

Just Bossman Fat hours.

Aye I’ve asked in the past what has he done that’s more then him being immature. If he has then that’s a different story. But being lazy and immature…just doesn’t make you a killer IMO.

Getting in a fist fight doesn’t make you “gangster”.

I didn't call him a gangster, I called him an idiot. But it does make you a gangster when you accompany men who then proceeded to hunt down and kill one of the two men you got into a fist fight with.

But apparently this should just be ignored because he snitched and got himself a deal.

Same could be said for you. So...nice try.

Again, this is reaching. He sounds like an idiot, behaves like an idiot, and got himself into a bad situation because he's an idiot.
I don’t expect a middle age man to know what a 22 year old from Baton Rouge to sound like is all I’m saying. You don’t strike me as someone who leaves your stoop. Very “get off my lawn” type.
