In normal times, I would agree.

But Dak has played like crap since the middle of last season.

That TB game was a clown show for Dak.

Dak was inconsistent the middle of last season but still had some good games. He didn’t have one game as bad as we saw the other night. Although he was horrendous in the opener he’s still way better than Cooper Rush. You don’t just move on from your starting QB because of one terrible game. Everyone will be glad to get him back when we see how we fare the next few weeks with Rush and possibly Will Grier. We’ll be lucky to win a game with either one.

A bum like Dak being named the starter over Romo because he had the best offensive line and running game in the league making him look serviceable?

Geno Smith becoming a starter again 8 years after his last start and looking better than 7 year starter Dak?
Dak stinks on Playstation too!

Dak about to feel joe romo felt, rush is gonna grab this opportunity by the plums and he isn’t looking back. This is gonna be the new air raid offense. Watch.
Who else definitely agrees ?

He’s gotta work on his pocket awareness I don’t wanna see anymore strip sacks. So yea him and Tyler smith isn’t exactly a ton of experience. But the coaches get paid to coach to the teams Strengths. Move the pocket, run the ball, play field position and take your shots.

He can score 20 ppg I believe.
So basically TP can't be in on any passing situations or just line him up at WR cause whoever the QB is will be taken down if they blitz. Remember TP missing a block off the edge resulted in a strip sack on Rush when they played Minnesota last season.

Is this like the 21st century version of Pipp / Gehrig and I can say one day I too saw greatness replace the Cowboy QB ?

He also threw out names at WR like Adams and Hill with the FO aware of the situation at WR, but Spears isnt paying the bills.
Dak got payed and no way this franchise could pay Adam, T Hill price.
Dak will get even worse once teammates start turning on him, this is a toxic environment
for this entire franchise at the moment.

And I assume Will Grier is the break the glass in case of emergency game day back up with DiNucci as PS . So what’s this noise Jerry’s making about looking high and low at all QB’s out there ? Geno Smith Joe Flacco started games Sunday .

Not like there’s a ton of QB talent in America kicking back waiting on Jerry’s call while there changing a litter box or cleaning the pool …. This is it . Buckle up folks this ride can get bumpy .

LOL. My god the delusion on this board is mind numbing some times.

Cooper Rush didnt even make the team, now he is going to take the starting gig from Dak and never give it back?

If Cooper Rush was about to take over for a top 10 QB in the NFL he wouldnt have cleared waivers.
1. Mahomes
2. Brady
3. Rodgers
4. Burrow
5. Herbert
6. Josh Allen
7. Lamar Jackson
8. Russel Wilson
9. Matt Stafford
10. Kirk cousins
11, Derek carr
12 deshsaun Watson lol and also Ryan tanehill

Huge drop off

14-18 Kyler Murray/ dak/ tua/ Mac jones / Trevor Lawrence

so he’s below average.

Dak is sliding. Post any stats you want but at 30 years old, injury prone, and with defenses laughing at his limited ability you can not tell me teams would take dak top 10. The upside isn’t there. At times he looks like a great backup.

Yep, this franchise usually talks a good game but everyone always feels the pressure and talks bad on each other when the chips are down.

I loved Romo and I love Dak.

If Rush gets this offense humming and the team’s winning, I have no problem with keeping him in there.

Enormous “if” though.

Rush is already inferior to Andy Dalton and we saw what he was able to do. At the end of the day, the very simple truth is last year and against Tampa teams were daring Dallas to run and going all in to stop Dak whereas now they are going to dare you to throw and go all in to stop the run. That really does say all that need be said.

Lol, teams like Tampa play heavy man. When Dak ‘got back on track’ with his numbers against Atlanta, it was because they played heavy man. That’s the exact opposite of daring Dallas to run. Dak has been getting away with it his whole career, because teams were afraid of the OL and RG.

When teams showed they didn’t need to play so much man, Dak looked like a complete train wreck. He’s always sucked against zone coverages. The Dak-led Cowboys when Dak was struggling was 31st in the league in third down efficiency, 26th in DROP-BACK success rate and 23rd in drop back efficiency and that’s when their RG went from averaging 5 YPC from both Zeke and Pollard to 29th in success rate.

Dak has been carried by the OL and RG his whole career. He got exposed when Amari wasn’t here and when Amari came here, Dak’s numbers against man shot up, but he still sucked against zone.
